My POV: It was a typical Sunday afternoon, the sky was clear, the wind was calm, and the neighborhood in Miami was rowdy. The date was March 17, 2016. I was at a friends house playing MLB The Show 15. We were both excited for the 2016 MLB season to begins in April. All of a sudden, my phone was ringing. We paused the game and I answered the phone.
ME: Hello?
???: Is this James Harrison?
ME: Yes it is. Who is this?
???: This is Don Mattingly, the head coach for the Miami Marlins.
ME: How can I help you Don?
DON: I want to you fill in for Dee Gordon.
ME: Sure, when do I sign up?
DON: You don't need to, I signed you up.
ME: Oh-okay. When do I need to come?
DON: Come on the 20th.
ME: Sounds great, I'll be there.
DON: Great.
My POV: I hang up the phone and my friend asked me who that was on the phone. I told him that was Don Mattingly, the head coach for the Miami Marlins. We continued playing the game. I was really excited that I get to play with the Marlins. After the game was over, I headed back to my place and relax.
