Cancer
We had just bid goodbye to Cassiopeia when we stumbled upon one of Leo's friends. I could tell it was his friend because they had a five minute long handshake.
"Leo!" Aries grabbed his attention. "Who's this?"
"Oh, this is Casey. Casey, that's Aries-" he was interrupted by Casey.
"Oh, cool! Me too! But what's his name?"
"That is his name." Casey laughed at this.
"That's my name, bro." Aries confirmed.
"I'm Libra!" Libra called from behind me.
"Cancer." I offered as the boy stared at me. I could feel Libra inch up behind me and throw his arm over my shoulder.
"Oh, okay. That's a lot of siblings you got there, Leo. What's with the names, though? Are they for white birthday?"
"Yeah. We got them for our very first birthday." Aries elbowed Capricorn in the stomach.
"No," Gemini pushed herself in front of him. "We are the zodiac. We've seen empires rise and fall. We've been there since the dawn of time, waiting since the Romans fell to take over our land and continue or reign once again-" Casey started breathing heavily and ran away. Leo whined about her spilling the secret and scaring his friend away and she simply shrugged in response.
"But..." a question rose in my throat, and everyone turned towards me. "What is he mean by me too?"
"Who knows, Cancrian?" Libra chucked at he took my hand and led me along, calling me by my old nickname. "Why worry ourselves about it?" Pisces grinned in our direction, and I was wandering what he knew that we didn't. He always seemed to know stuff before we did. Gemini had a feeling it was because of the fact that his patron was Jupiter, and he was the king of gods, but Leo's patron is the sun god Apollo, who's also in charge of prophecy. And my patron is his twin, the moon, also known as Artemis. I'm in charge of oracles and yet I can't even see the future...
But we're getting off track, aren't we?
Libra was pulling me behind him as I got lost in my thoughts, and in that moment, I just wanted to loose myself in him.
