"Your majesty" a guard spoke entering the throne room
"Morning Harry" I said giving a small smile.
"Queen Lucia." He said as he bowed. "Sorry to disrupt your morning, but I have some news I would like to share with the king.." He paused. "Have you seen him?"
"My husband is currently away, he will be back by tomorrow. But you can tell me of the issue."
Gathering my dress from the seat, I stood and began approaching him.
"Well, the attacks seem to be happening again." This caught my attention and I took a step forward. "Last night the jetericons hit a small village near the border."
"Did anyone..?"
"Thankfully no but there some that were injured. Some of them say they heard some of the Knights talk about a big attack on the castle."
"Did they say when this would happen?"
He sighed. "Unfortunately, they did not but we know for sure it's soon. They are trying again and this time, they are going to hit us with everything they have"
I shivered at the thought. They weren't going to take them, I would not let that happen
"Well then prepare the Knights and our army and get ready for the battle."
"I'm sorry but we can't do that." He said looking to the floor
"Why not?" I said raising my tone
Harry took a few steps back and continued speaking. "We need to consult King Jerome of the attacks and get his orders." He said as he got quieter.
"By the time my husband returns this whole kingdom could be in flames, we can't risk this Harry.." I took a step back realizing that if I got any closer I would have rattled the earth
"I understand my queen, but it's not in my hands."
"So are we just suppose to sit and wait until the arrival of my husband. Can we at least get a couple guards to watch over Ava and August?"
"I'm sorry but that can't be done either. Just because we aren't attacking doesn't mean we aren't preparing and for that we need every guard on the watch." He said sounding more confident
I got annoyed. "You can leave Harry.. Thank you."
He bowed and left the room quietly that barely noticed he was gone.
