Katlyn's pov
wait did Reese and Travis just say that they were assassins. what?. I don't understand how they had become assassins. there 23 sure but why?. why of all things are their assassins. "w-what?" I sais not sure if they were telling the truth or not. the next thing I knew there was a guy behind me yelling at Travis. I and kiawii~chan turned around and this dude jumped over the railing holding two swords and he was coming right at us. I and kaiwii~chan saw a part of Reese and Travis that we wish we hadn't. seen.
Travis's pov.
I saw Katlyn and kiawii~chan turn around and look up at our friend and then saw then duck to the ground as he jumped off the railing above us trying to swing at them. I and Reese were not about to let this guy hurt or even try to hurt our girls. we gave each over a quick look. I could tell in his eyes that he wanted to let it all out and kill him. it's obvious that he saw the look in my eyes saying no. I grabbed my sword from my side and with a quick movement, I blocked his attack. Reese blocked the other word from hitting kc while I protected Katlyn. we then forced both his swords out of his hands and when we went to kill him. the girls jumped on our arms and pulled us down. we could tell they were scared so we stopped.
everyone's pov
"damn it, Travis, what are you doing," said this hooded person as he went to pick up his sword. Reese gave a look at him that he obviously was scared of and he backed away from his sword. "James , they are friends from my street. remember the girls we were talking about." Travis said to James. "Reese said nothing as he got up and went to pick up kc's hand. kc was shaking with fear and Reese saw this so when he picked her up, he gave her a hug to try and stop her from shaking. I turned around to Katlyn who looked like she was about to kill him. "I dare you to try it girl". said James . it was obvious that he saw the look in her eye's. I helped Katlyn up and two other people came in through the waterfall. they had the worst look on their face.
Travis's pov.
this was the scout squad sent to spy on the king as he went through the forest. "hey why are there only two of you and is that-" I froze as I looked at the hand of our second scout. I lost control and grabbed my sword and trapped him against the wall. what happened to the others?" I said out of pure anger. Reese grabbed me and pulled me away. I had lost complete control over my body and all I wanted to do was kill them. the look on Katlyn's face put me to shame. what have I become?. tears started to roll down my cheek as I put my hood on. the scout said "they were everywhere. we couldn't fight them all, that's why my hand is..." he then revealed his blood red hand. Katlyn and kc burst into tears. I tried to hug Katlyn and make her feel safe but all she could do was cry. this girl who used to always hit me and was braver than me was crying. Reese did the same and when we locked eye's we had the same idea. it was time we got some payback. we said to Jamie "whatever happens if I get back and something has happened to them, I swear on irene's life, I'll make you regret the day you joined us." I said to him. I said to Katlyn with tears in my eye's. "its ok, me and Reese need to do something. James will keep you safe.". I looked up at James and he knew what I was gonna do. I ran towards the waterfall jumping out onto the building. Reese shortly followed me and we were on a mission of revenge.
katlyn's pov.
what did Reese mean? "Travis is gonna do something bad and I need to stop him. kc please don't forget me and Katlyn. I hope you know that Travis thought about you every day. I'd catch him crying whenever he said you name". don't forget him?. this is not good. I need to know what's happening. I looked at kc who was still crying. I hugged kc and said to kc " what's going on" the words he said will shock me forever.
James's words
when Travis was young, he watched both his parents die right in front of him. what Travis then did was be the first child to kill a guard. he witnessed a lot of blood and was even the reason why on of the head guards died that day. I can't believe that a 10-year-old boy watched both his parents die right in front of him. the look in his eyes was unbelievable and after he moved away. it's been 10 years since I've seen him.
Travis's pov
I hopped from roof to roof looking left and right to see if anyone was following me. I and Reese got lucky because no guard or person saw us. after 5 minutes of hopping from roof to roof, we finally reached the forest, where our brave scouts fought to there last breath. I jumped on top of the tree and after a while, I saw the kings camp. I and Reese had the same look of madness. we hopped down on top of the guards and we killed them. we both grabbed their swords and started swinging left and right killing and killing. the king then came out to see me and Reese standing there. the look in his eye. he enjoyed what he saw. me and Reese saw that he enjoyed this and I shouted at him "is this what you want. us killing each over until one of us gives in."." I don't need to worry about that. you've already lost since your girlfriends got into town.". said the king. Reese looked up at the king and said: "come near her and I swear on my life I'll make sure you suffer.". the king pulled from his back and sword made of pure diamond and he charged towards me. I gave Reese a look that said this is my fight. i threw down the guards sword and we engaged in combat. we blocked and swung, both too quick to react. all of a sudden I heard two female voices saying our names. the king knew what was gonna happen because he raised his hand and in the tree top, there I saw him.
Katlyn's and Travis's pov
that guy on top of that tree will kill one of us and I know that whoever it is, it will leave a scar on their life.
Katlyn pov
then I saw him. he jumped in front of me and kc. he pushed away from his revenge just to save our life's. this white haired boy who wanted nothing but revenge saved my life. Travis jumped in front of us saving our life's. he took and arrow for us and i knew that he would give his life for mine.
