Brent’s POV
“Hi Shawty!” I flung my arm around Aubry, who shrieked and clamped his hand over his mouth.
“Oh my God. You dumbass!” Aubry hissed. “This is a library?”
“It is?” Oh. I lowered my voice. “But it’s like, half an hour before school starts.”
“It’s still a library.”
God. This guy needs some Midol.
“Alrighty then, babe.” I pulled out a brand new Canon silver videocamera. “Here. As I promised.”
Aubry stared at the contraption in my hands. “What?” I waved my arms around. “I promised, didn’t I?”
“But…” Aubry trailed off. “You know how much those cost?”
“Yeah,” I rolled my eyes, checking out my reflection in the glass window. “Of course I do.” I parted my hair and smiled at the shiny-ness of it all. “It cost about five hundred dollars.”
Aubry choked on his spit. “W-what?” he sputtered, coughing.
“Shhh.”
Aubry blushed as the librarian put her fingers to her lips. “Sorry,” he mouthed.
God. He was so cute when he blushed.
“Hey, Yaa Daa, so…” Josh looked up from his book. “BRENTYPOO!”
“CREAMSICLE!”
“SHHHHHH!”
I stared at Josh’s beautiful face, kissing his cheek. “Hi. What are you doing here?”
“Studying with Aubry,” he sighed, picking up a textbook. “I’m so tired. I hate homework.”
“Weren’t you on Tumblr all of last night?”
“Yeah, but…” Josh trailed off as Aubry glared at him. “What? Tumblr is just Tumblr. Don’t look at me like that!”
“SHHHHHHHHHH!”
“God, just shut up!” Aubry hissed. “Look. Brent, we need to get our filming done. Josh, you need to study for your science test.” He slapped Josh’s textbook twice. “Now!”
Josh mumbled something incoherent under his breath as Aubry turned to the silver camera in my hands. “Okay. Let’s start.”
“I’ll film you first.” I pulled out a chair for him and sat down on the tabletop. “Okay. First things first,” I pulled out my question sheet. “Number one.” I turned on the recording dial on the new camera. “Are you a virgin?”
Aubry choked on his spit again and began coughing loudly and rapidly. “Brent!”
“What?” I smiled innocently, watching as Josh giggled behind his textbook. “It’s a question.”
“No, it’s not!”
“Shawty, just answer it,” I sighed.
“Yes,” he mumbled, then looked away from the camera. “Moving on.”
“What were your past relationships like?”
“Okay,” Aubry slammed his hands down on the table. God, I’d never known that such a small, quiet guy like him could make such a loud noise! “Brent, these are not proper questions!”
“I’m just asking about your past relationships! Is that so bad?!”
“AUBRY!”
Aubry jumped as the librarian landed a snaky little hand on his shoulder. “I’m going to have to ask you to leave. You’re being too loud and causing a disruption to other people.”
