"Mommy?" Aria whispered, shuffling her small paws.
"We don't have much time, scoot along." Winter huffed, shifting Aria along with her monumental maxilla.
Aria shivered and kept moving across the heavy bursts of chilly wind. She looked behind her, staring at the bright light spreading across and destroying her home. A sudden wind gust swept her off her paws slightly. She yowled at her mother. Winter heaved Aria within her jowls and carried her for a mile.
"Where are we going Mommy?" Aria sighed, a frosty puff blew out of her mouth. The snow died down. They have traveled miles, and her paws started to get sore.
"Not much farther, hopefully the Hounds of Odious accepts us." Winter carried on the long journey.
Aria puffed out her soft fur, hoping to give her more warmth. She ascended up the steep mountain, slipping every once and a while, as it was lightly packed with fresh snow.
"Mommy! I'm tired and hungry. Can we please stop for a second?" Aria puffed, out of breath.
"Sure." Winter stopped dead in her tracks, Aria running into them clumsily. "I will go hunt. Stay here, and that's an order." Winter leaped away, scenting the air to smell any nearby scents of prey.
"Okay.." Aria looked upon the steep mountain edge. She looked down, getting home sick. Aria started to pace.
At sundown, Winter returned with a hare and vole. Aria gulped down her meal and continued to pace. Her mother still eating her share.
"Stop pacing. I know it's hard but it is very obnoxious. Stop it." Winter demanded, Aria wouldn't stop.
Aria slowly heard a crumble of rocks below her. Suddenly, she started to tumble down the side of the mountain, yowling with a high-pitched, scared look spread across her muzzle.
"Aria! My baby!" Those were the last words she heard of her mother before she hit the ground and passed out.
