Chapter 12

{Peyton's pov}

I ran through the busy streets of Belleville until I reached Gerard's house. His mother was in the front yard gardening her plants. "mrs. Way is Gerard here!?" I asked exasperated.

"yes sweetie he's in the living room with his bro-"

"Kay thanks"

"ther" she finished. Heh woops totally cut her off right now. I barged into his house and ran into the living room. Gerard didn't notice I was until he his eyes let go of the T.V and turned to look where I was standing.

"PEYTON!!" he said jumping from his seat. "what are you doing here? I thought you were in trouble? And... What happened to your hair?"

"ugh it's a..."

I quickly pulled off and through it on the ground. Gerard screamed and pointed at me "YOUR BALD?!"

"what? No you idiot it's a wig!! Listen Gerard, I have run away from home and I think my mom has already found out. And she probably already knows that I'm here with you!" I have to go before things get worse."

"wait... But... You can't leave me here. Not now, not ever... I'm going with you!"

"no Gerard please! I don't want to make things worse"

" you won't! Your my girlfriend and I could never, ever let you go"

He grabbedy head and kissed me hard on the lips. I heard mikey clap loudly behind us. Heh awkward. Gerard let go of me and smiled. "I'm going whether you like it or not. A true boyfriend never lets his girlfriend go on her own"

"and neither does the boyfriends brother!" mikey said standing up.

"okay mikey, I think it's best if you stay. I don't want anything bad to happen to you!" gerard said.

"no gerard, I'm your brother and I've always been there for you. I was even there when you met Peyton. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have gone to meet her anyway"

" Alright fine! Get my things and get yours"

Mikey ran out of the living room and went to Gerard's room. "you okay if he comes?" Gerard asked. "of course."

The doorbell rang loudly and thoughts started filling my mind. "GERARD!" yelled his mom "IT'S PEYTONS MOM OPEN THE DOOR!!"

"oh crud!" I said my heart beating extremely fast. Gerard went Into the kitchen and opened the bottom drawer. He took out about two hundred dollar bills. "Gerard you don't have to do that! I have money !"

"it doesn't matter. We're gonna need a lot to survive anyway"

"do you even know where we're going?"

"actually I do! Mikey hurry up!"

Mikey ran into the living room with his and Gerard's school backpack. "all right lets go!"

"wait!" said mikey. "the window from mom and dads bedroom! Perfect place to sneak out!"

"youre right. Let's go!"

We ran inside their parents bedroom quickly. I can still here Gerard's mo

Yelling to open the door. I feel so terrible. Mikey opened the large window that led to their backyard. He climbed ou the window and helped me out after him. The three of us ran out of the backyard and opened the fence.

{Peyton's moms pov}

I burst through mrs. Ways door and walk into the living room. "PEYTON?! Where the hell are you?" I tripped into something furry making me jump and scream. "is this... My wig?" I dia as I grabbed it and held it up. Peyton of course. "PEYTON!!"

I walked out the door and climbed Into the car. This young lady is in so much trouble.

{Peytons pov}

We ran down the street near the transporting area. I can hear a car drive closer and closer to us making me more nervous than ever. "PEYTON!!" I turned my head and noticed it es my mom trying to catch up with us in her car. "PEYTON GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADY!"

"look! Over there!" mikey yelled pointing at a big white buses that was about to take off. "let's get in hurry.

My mom got off her car running after us. As we reach the bus the doors closed before she could reach. "PEYTON!!!" she screamed. I sat down with mikey and Gerard. I suddenly began busting into tears regretting everything. I can't believe I abandoned my mom. I loved her south but I just couldn't be kept away from Gerard. Gerard hugged me tightly and rubbe my back. "it'll be okay" mikey said trying to cheer me up "we'll be safe I promise". Than something came into my mind. "where exactly is this bus taking us?" I asked Gerard. "I have no idea but it sure is driving pretty fast. And it's headed to the 10th freeway. Nobody ever takes that freeway unless you're traveling to a different state"

I looked at gerard worried. "don't worry it's probably gonna take us to new York anyway. Why would this bus take us to a different state. That'd be impossible. Besides, new York is only thirty minutes away"

"you're right" I said calming down a bit. "maybe we shouldn't freak out. We'll be fine. Right mikey?"

"got that right. Fingers crossed" he held up his skinny fingers crossing mine and Gerard's. "just new York" he said "nothing to worry about"

A slouched on my seat feeling extremely tired from that awful run we took. The look on my moms face made me want to burst into tears but it really wasn't worth it. "please fasten your seat belts" the lady said through the speaker "and have a wonderful trip"

"trip?" said Gerard

I shrugged and slouched again positioning myself to go to sleep. "im tired. Go to sleep" I said slapping Gerard's leg. "fine" he leaned his head on the window while miey leaned his head in my shoulder. It was a pretty cold day but with these three guys, they sure are gonna keep me warm. My eyes slowly began to droop and as soon as the bus entered the freeway, I had fallen asleep forgetting everything that's ever happened today.

I was woken up to a big loud screeching spud and I thumped my head on the front seat. "ouch!" I yelled waking Gerard up. He slowly sat up squinting his eyes and yawning as the sun came though the bus windows. Mikey also sat up with his squinty eyes and looked at me. I laughed as I noticed that Mikey's hair was sticking up. "where are we?@ gerrd said yawning again"

"looks to bright and sunny" said mikey. "I know this isn't home"

The lady came walking up to us with a big smile plastered on her face. "good morning kids."

"morning" I said rubbing my eyes. "where exactly are we?"

"Oh, where are we? Oh hahahah why good thing you guys asked. Well you guys, Welcome to California!"

"WHAT?!" the three of us yelled...

(A/N: oooohhhhhh Cali Cali babee. That's where I live heheh. Oooohhhhhh poor guys wonder what's gonna happen next. Hope they don't run into Justin bieber or nicki minaj.
