Chapter 3: Jared's First Fight

Jared was pissed as hell. It sucked how I couldn't punch Suki or anything, because he disappeared already. So looks like Jared was on his own. Jared walked even more around the place. It was still nothing but a wasteland. Eventually Jared saw a forest. He walked inside it, the forest had huge, big trees. Some were green, and some were yellow. Jared saw a puddle.

"That's strange. Why is there a puddle? It doesn't even look like it's been raining." Jared said to himself.

Jared kept walking, he had 40 minutes left before Kill Hour was over, so he couldn't get distracted.

"Damn it. Where the hell are the people around here. I don't wanna die on my first day."

Jared then heard something. He noticed that there was a 7 on his forehead.

"Please...help...me I need
someone's...help." He was struggling to say his sentence.
"What happened? Why are you hurt?" Jared was worried.

Jared went close to him, it looked like his leg was hurt. Jared didn't know how he could help him, but he tried. Jared ran back at the puddle that he saw earlier. So he can put some water in his cut to prevent the bleeding.

"What the where's the puddle? I'm sure it was here? Unless...

Jared had 33 minutes left. And he also had an idea. Jared ran back to the person.

"I managed to get some leaves. I'm going to rub the blood off of your leg. This might hurt though. He rubbed the blood with the leaf. "So what's your name?" Jared said as he was wiping the blood of with a leaf.

"I'm Max. [Arg]" Max held in his scream. "It hurts."

Jared got most of the blood out.

"Thanks a lot" he said
"No problem" Jared replied.

After Jared was done wiping of the blood. He punched Max in the left side of his cheek.

Max touched his cheek. "What was the for?"
"Oh please, I'm not that stupid." Jared said.

Max wiped the blood from his mouth. "Heh, when did you figure It out?"

Jared got up. "When I saw the puddle in this forest." He then added. "It would be impossible for a puddle to be that big with an area full of trees. Even if it did rain or not. And when I went to get water from the puddle, it was gone.

"Clever." Max was making a water sphere with his hands. "But now it's time to kill you." Max shot his Water Sphere at Jared.

"[Ack!]" Jared flew back, and hit the tree behind him. "Okay... that hurt." He hit the tree so hard, that it left a dent in it.

Kill Hour was almost over. There was only 16 minutes left, so Jared had to think of something fast. Jared ran towards Max. "Hhhaaaa! I'll kill you!" Jared yelled.

"I don't think so, you fool." He formed the water sphere again. "Water Sphere!"

Jared got shot back to the tree again. "Damn it. How can I kill him, of I don't even know what element I have." Jared looked at his watch. "Oh no. Ten minutes left."

Jared ran towards Max for a third time. But this time was different.

"Idiot. Its time to end this. Hydro Blast!" That is one of Max's strong moves. A blast of water shot out at Jared.

The water came close to Jared. "I can't die! I won't die!" Jared did something with his hands.

"It's over. Looks like I'm alive for another day." Max was smiling with evil. But Max saw something. "[Gasp.] What the hell? But how?"

"Looks like I figured out my elemental power." Jared was happy, that he gets to be alive for another day, he killed his first guy, and he figured out his elemental power. His elemental power was Earth.

"You little." Max got mad. "I can't do another attack. I need time to recharge. And unfortunately I don't have enough time."

There was three minutes left. "Now it's my turn." Jared rushed towards Max.

"What the?" Max was surprised that Jared was faster.

Jared crouched down, and he locked on Max's stomach. "Earth Punch!" He punched Max in the stomach. Jared got a dead-on shot.

"Damn...you." Max fell to the floor in pain. Seconds later he was dead.

"No one ever messes with me. I'll stay alive, so I see Suki again. I want more answers." Jared looked at his watch. "Wow, with only one minute to spare."

"Jared Smith succeeded." The watch said.
"Cool! The watch talks when I kill someone on Kill Hour." Jared said.

"Man, you really can't trust anyone in this damn place." Jared said to himself.

Jared got out if the forest from where he entered. He didn't want to go further into the forest. Because he didn't want to risk being tricked again. A few minutes later he got out of the forest. He heard his watch say something, "Time resetting to 24 hours." The watch went back to 24 hours.

After 10 minutes, Jared was getting tired. So he tried to find a place to sleep. "I guess the sky doesn't change. So I don't think I'll know when it's day time and night time. That really sucks." Jared was scared to go to sleep. Because he was afraid of what would happen to him while he was asleep. "I want to go to sleep. I'm so freaking tired." Jared couldn't handle it anymore. He tried to find a safe area, and he did a few minutes later. He got some leaves so he can cover himself. And also so anyone won't know that he's there. He didn't want to risk someone killing him or watching him while he slept.

He said to himself, "Nighty Night...Or at least I think it is." Jared closed his eyes and fell asleep.
