Only one more week.
I pushed my glasses further up my nose and slung my bag over my shoulder, walking out of my room and downstairs. "There's nothing in the fridge, are you ok?" My mum frowned at me.
"Yeah, it's ok. I'm not too hungry right now" I forced a smile on my face, I was starving. I walked out the front door and closed it gently, sighing deeply when my stomach started gurgling. I looked down at my feet, cringing. I kept it in my mind that i would need new shoes soon.
I was the typical nerd, straight A's and a clean report card. I couldn't say my life was normal, that would be the biggest lie of the year. However, i like to think that it isn't the worst. Apart from the massive pile of rent are dad gladly left us. Thanks dad.
I walked up to the bus stop, just as the yellow monster appeared. The door swung open and I stepped on, grabbing my purse i opened it up. Nothing.
I smiled awkwardly to the bus driver. "Sorry, I don't have any money..." She looked down at me, I could feel myself slowly shrinking in embarresment.
She sighed, giving in. "Where do you need to go?"
"Elmsworth school," I grinned up at her. "Thanks." I hollered once i had reached the back of the bus. I sat in my seat and looked out the window, rain droplets blurred my view of the town. Bored, i flipped through my agenda to check what i had first, Maths. I grinned to myself, i quite enjoyed the subject. I usually sat at the back by myself which allowed me to catch up on my sleep, Mr Leroy didn't mind anyway.
The bus came to a stop and i got up, walking down the aisle i stepped outside. Before heading to my next class, I placed my agenda back into my bag and closed it, slinging it over my shoulder. I then walked towards school, fully prepared for the day ahead.
