Who am I?

Chapter One

In the beginning, it was dark.
I woke up in what seemed to be a hospital room, there weren't any lights on and the blinds were drawn. The rest of the hospital seemed to be, abandoned. There wasn't the usual hustle of nurses or doctors, the place was dead and not a soul to be found.

I tried to get up, but I fell back from the loss of strength in my arms and legs. It was almost as if I hadn't used them, in forever because maybe I hadn't...
Come to think of it, I don't remember how I ended up in a hospital...

My thoughts are interrupted when something hits the window. I can't tell what it is with the blinds drawn, but I assume it's a bird. Most birds can't see glass so when they're flying they happen to fly into windows and the such like.
I move to slowly get up, so that I don't fall again, but it's incredibly hard being that I probably haven't been active in the past few--who knows days? weeks? months?
I manage to wobbly stand, and attempt to make my way over to the window. I fall against it and brush the curtains away with my hands.
Even with the little bit of blinds open, I can clearly see that what hit the window was not a bird.
There was blood smeared all over the window, that was definitely not from a bird. There was too much of it.
All of a sudden there's a large object falling from the sky directly at the window (and more worrisome) me!
I race to close the blinds but it's too late, the object is racing towards the window at a breakneck pace. When it hits the window, I realize that it's a deer.
I'm sure that the window should've broken but it didn't. The impact of the deer alone should've shattered the glass, but there's not one mark on the window, except for the blood smeared along the length of the glass.

A/N: so, I know that this chapter wasn't super long but, I'm hoping to write longer ones in the future. I was planning on it being much longer than this... but writer's block is a bitch! Sorry guys, hope you still liked the intro though! ❤️
