Secrets.

Lies.

Cover ups.

What would school be without a little drama? But here at Timber high it's a whole new level of drama. There are secrets within the school yet to be exposed, loyalty questioned by those closest and cover ups has become a norm. Mysteries are solved and the truth.. The truth hurts more than the lies told.

As Hunter and I walk out of History period we cross through the field and that's when everything changed. We see police vehicles everywhere and scholars gather around with teachers. We walk towards the crowd and I shove everyone to get through to the front. When I eventually get through it feels as if my eyes deceive me. Hunter squeezes my hand but it feels as if I can't breathe, all the oxygen has been sucked out of me.

"Nooooo" I scream as I see Tiffany's body being put on the gurney.

"Wha - what happened?" I scream. "Tiffany!" I tried to run to her but head mistress held me back.

"Brooklyn I know you're upset but I can't let you run in the crime scene." She begs.

I try to pull out of her grip but next thing hunter pulls me back as well. I scream and scream but I can't do anything. Tiffany codes and the one ambulance guy shouts that he can't find a pulse. They start doing compressions.

My heart is racing but the fear in my heart strikes so deep. "Tiffany! Please don't die!" I shout.

The scholars all look at me with such pity in their eyes and they all look at each other in agreement before doing such a generous act of kindness when they shout. "Tiffany don't die!"

I turn in astonishment towards the crowd and burst out crying. Hunter pulls me in and hugs me so tight it feels as if he's never ever going to let go. His heart beat I can clearly hear, it's weird but it calms me down a bit.

One of the ambulance men shouts. "We have a pulse." And they load her into the ambulance.

Hunter kisses my forehead before he whispers in my ear. "She's alive."

I look into his mesmerizing eyes and wipe the smile off my face. "She's suppose to be dead."

Brooklyn POV

My eyes slowly open as I turn to face Catherine sitting on the side of my bed. "Good morning Brooklyn." She smiles with her pearly white teeth showing before she left my room. Gosh I hate it. It's as if she's mocking me for my none bright white teeth. Mine is almost like a matte white but not yellow. Don't be mistaken my friend. I get out of bed and drag my body to the bathroom to get done. As I enter the kitchen, breakfast was already on the table. My mouth waters as I scan the food, there's bacon, pancakes with whip cream, fruit salad and my stomach has butterflies, something boys never was able to do.
As I take a bite from the pancakes satisfaction fills me. "Wow you really outdid yourself Catherine" and by Catherine I meant chef. Catherine nods her head with a polite smile. "Thank you Brooklyn. The cooking classes paid off." She giggles with a playful wink. I smile but inside my eyes are rolling with the stones. Footsteps tramps harshly down the stairs and my dad joined us.

"Brook, are you ready for school?" He asks.

"Born and raised daddy." I smile cheerfully.
