It's been a week since I found out that I was pregnant so I was now at my doctors office to confirm the pregnancy. My leg slightly shook as I waited for my name to be called so that j could be sent to the back to see my doctor. It was mostly empty with only a few people around.

"Leslie." a nurse called out peaking her head out from the back. I stood up grabbing my purse walking over to the door and following her to the examining room.

I sat up on the table while she took my vitals then left my room telling me that my doctor would arrive shortly. I was so tense just sitting there waiting as I looked around the room. I just wanted this to be over and I felt kinda sick like I was about to throw up. I jumped down from the table and before I could touch the door knob I could feel the contents of my stomach starting to  rise and I knew that I wouldn't be able to make it to the bathroom in time so I turned emptying my stomachs contents in the nearby trashcan.

When I looked back up I could see my doctor standing in the door. "Are you okay it looked like you need to be checked out immediately." she commented.

I nodded. "I'm going to go to the bathroom quickly then I'll be back." I told her exiting the room and making my way towards the bathroom. I walked in taking one of the little Dixie cups and filling it with water before downing it to wash out all the throw up in my mouth. I finished popping a mint into my mouth before making my way back to the room.

"Okay what's your reason for this visit?" My doctor asked in a kind of chuckle.

"I believe I'm pregnant I've been eating more gaining weight and having sigh s of morning sickness."

"Those are symptoms of pregnancy so do you want to take a blood test or uraine sample."

"I'll do the blood test I already took at cat home test and waiting to confirm the results." I told her and she wrote that down on her clipboard before walking out to get the needle for my blood.

Again I sat in the room alone in pure silence hoping that the at home test was negative and I actually wasn't pregnant so I could happily live with Nolan alongside me. Maybe have I few kids that I knew for sure was his. Finally a nurse came back in and took my blood.

"So how did the father feel about your possible pregnancy?" the nurse asked.

"He doesn't know about it yet hence why he isn't here right now."

"Ooo a surprise is this your first child?"

"Yeah." I said lowly taking a deep breath as she finished up.

"You excited."

"I don't know." I said dryly hoping that she'd leave me alone and stop asking me so many questions like why can't she just shut up for a minute. My prayers were answered when she finally left the room and I pulled out my phone checking to see how much time I had before I needed to go pick up Jehlani and Janae up at school.

I stepped in taking the role as their mother because I knew Nolan since we were younger and had the biggest crush on him and I still do. I'm just hoping we last but I know it's only a dream of us actually working out but I still hold onto that wishing that'll happen.
