Coming home

I see my life, flash before my eyes
The reaper is here but I show no fear
I'm burning up from inside
It's loud outside but quiet in here
I'm sinking fast but show must go
On without me
I know you doubt me
But heaven knows
Just take it slow, man the course
sail without me im almost home
As the darkness fades and light gets brighter
I see the sun and i feel it's power
The commanding voice of my father
I hear the birds, I can smell the flowers
I'm almost there, I'm almost home
He beckons me to come closer
But the closer I come the colder
Before I could change my mind
He wraps his arms around mine
I wake up from what felt like a dream
My life almost lost, I saw my halo beam
Coming back into such a dark world
But I thank the Lord that I am here
because I'm here, I'm home.
