From a distance, as far as the eye could see, a young girl sat upon a willow tree. It had fallen from old age and the bark was rough, but the girl didn't mind. The news she had just been told scarred her mind. For a six-year-old, it was tough to come to terms with most, but this was far past the wallowing girls limits. She had run away from her parents in a fit of rage and sadness. Her wild hair had become damp with the rain that scorched the little town of Cloveland. Brown trickles swept in her green eyes as she cried. Never had any man or women felt the sadness the young girl felt. But to know what truly happened you would have to start from the beginning

"Daddy" The young girl giggled "Stop it hurts!"
The dad laughed, a fake evil laugh and went to tickle the girl again. He was a handsome young man with a strong jaw and loving look in his green eyes. After all, this was his only daughter and he loved her more than he loved anyone else. After a while of play fighting, the girl started to cry. Startled by his only daughter's tears he quickly picked her up and held her close.
"Whats wrong pumpkin?" He muttered softly.
Her tears welled up in her sparkling green eyes before they tumbled out like a waterfall. Her dad shushed her and sang a soft lullaby to calm his green eyed girl. Finally, after a couple of minutes, the young girl gained enough composure to speak.
"It hurts daddy!" she cried into his shoulder successfully drenching the gray material. Her father frowned in thought as this had not been the first time for the young girl's pain.
"Why don't we get you to a hospital munchkin" He muttered thickly, he knew something was wrong with his baby girl and it made him so sad to think that such a beautiful girl could hurt so bad.
They had driven to the hospital that night. The young girl's dad was worried and anxious, making the young girl feel even sadder. She did not understand why her father was so sad and worried.
By the time they had gotten into the hospital and gotten a doctor the test had started. They did a blood test, heart rate test, and X-rays. The little girl didn't understand why she had to have so many tests. But when the doctor sat down to explain to her why she needed this much tests done her father started crying and the little girl couldn't help but join in.
It was one word that destroyed the little girls hope for her future. Cancer.
So that is why she sat in sorrows on an old willow tree, not believing what she had heard. She was drenched from head to toe in rain and was shivering. A couple of minutes later the girl heard feet shuffling to were she sat.
"Saph" Her dad spoke, sadness heavily wrapped in his words " I know this is hard for you baby girl but please come back home"
She looked up and stared at her father's identical green eyes and scrunched up her face in pain.
"Daddy is this how mummy died?" She asked in a quiet voice and her dad's head hung low with sadness.
"No baby girl, when you get older I promise you will know. But for now come with me" He replied and held out his arms. The young girl jumped into his arms and hugged him as tight as she could. Little did she know this was the begining of a journey, a journey riddled with pain, anguish, sadness but also love.
