"Callie!" Callie's mother called from downstairs. With a whimper, Callie looked away from the window she was gazing from. Slinging her black and white backpack over her shoulder, she made her way outside her room. Spinning on her heel, she glanced back inside of her now-empty room, a sigh escaping her lips. "Come on, Honey." Callie heard her father call her. "Your Dad's getting old now, and Ashton can only do so much."

    Bye guys...

Callie said mentally to the house as she walked down the stairs. "Mom? Dad?" She called out, her voice ringing across the house as she picked up a box. A faint reply was heard from outside as she walked outside, a nice breeze greeting her.

"Thanks for helping, Kiddo." Callie's dad said in a light-hearted manner as she placed a box inside the moving truck. "No probs dad." She replied as she tucked some of her dyed purple hair behind the ear. Quickly, she grabbed a box from her mom when she noticed that it took a bit of a struggle.

After about half and hour of loading the last minute boxes, her dad closed the truck's trunk, hopping in the vehicle. "Meet the two of you at the new house." He said with a wink at the two. Callie's eyes widened.

"Wait! Where Asht-"

"I'm here!" Callie's brother yelled, annoyed, as he peered at his sister from the truck's passenger side. "Whatever, Shorty." She shot at him as she stuck out her tongue, Ashton mimicking her actions.

"Stop, both of you." Their mom said with a smile as she ushered Callie into their small grey car. "To Wimberly!" Callie's dad yelled with the window down, proceeding with a long honk of the wheel as Ashton hollered with him.

"Men..." Her mom muttered under her breath as she shook her head. "If anyone asks, you don't know them, right Mom?" Callie asked with a laugh, her mom following.

"Anyways, Callie." Her mom said as she started up the car, backing up from the driveway. "How do you feel about attending Archeman High?" She asked, her eyes on the road as they followed their moving truck. "It's a very athletic school, and their mascot is, gasp! An archer." Callie pulled out her iPod from the front pocket of her checkered backpack as she started to untangle her earbuds.

"I dunno, Mom." She replied. "I mean, I like sports and all, but like, I'm not sure I'll be able to catch up on their assignments. Like really, they're almost done with first trimester!"

Her mother lowered the window, letting some fresh air in. "You'll do fine, Callie. You're the most intelligent person I've known." She encouraged, making Callie roll her eyes. "We can find out later once we arrive, right?" Callie asked as she plugged in one bud. When her mom nodded, she plugged in the other, listening to some of the most popular songs.
