simply pt. 3

"No. If you do a minor cord there, you can't put a three majors. It'll sound a bit jumbled up." Iris points out to Jihoon.

He nods and tugs on his hair. They've been working together for a month now and they've grown close. Iris has been helping Jihoon with his music and him learning Korean.

Iris has noticed something off with Jihoon for a while now. She never asked, but now that the song is due next week, he needs to get whatever is on his mind off if he wants to compose a good song.

"Jihoon, if somethings on your mind you can tell me. If you want to though..."

He sighs deeply and looks at her. He accidentally looked at her eyes, causing his heart to jolt a bit. He coughed and began to tell her on why his head isn't functioning and can't concentrating.

"...yeah it's pretty cliché, but she actually did that in worst way possible. And it wasn't the first time either."

"Well, shit. I'm glad you're looking for happiness."

Jihoon put his head on the table and mumbled, "No. I'm not looking. Happiness is just a word. I just want–" He cuts himself off and starts at Iris. She meets his eyes and she quickly looks away and puts a gummy bear in her mouth.

It hit Jihoon like truck. It was Iris. His inspiration. He finally knew what he was gonna write.

He quickly gathered his things to head back to his dorm. "Where are you going?" Iris asks.

He hugs tightly and whispers a thank you before running out the library.
