—Your shadows (are there) in my eyes, Even if I want, there cannot be distance from your memories..even after going you don't go, you stay in my heart, becoming a wish, why?
why do I remember you, I end and I be again,
where have you brought me
there was something in between you and me..."

Third person's point of view

"Shanaya,I've cleared all the big stuff from you dorm so now just your cupboard and that drawer you never let anyone get near is left, so why don't you see what you need, pack it up and then we can finally leave this place?" Abhi asks Shanaya as both of them place the last boxes of their belongings in his car. It's the last day for them in St. Teresa and they seem to be the only ones left form their year, rest of the students having already left.

"What's the rush,Abhi? We still have the whole day. We may never get to come back here again don't you wanna just pause and take a look around?" Shanaya moves to sit on the grass ,taking another look at the place she grew up in,fell in love at,fell out of love at,found everything and lost everything at.

"No,I just want to get out of here as soon as we can and you aren't really helping in that babe" Abhi huffs and extended his hand in front of her. Shanaya sulks but takes his hand anyway and starts walking towards her dorm room after him pleading her to again.

She takes a moment to take a deep breathe, as if she's preparing herself to go through something she doesn't want to,before entering the room.

She couldn't help but look over towards the side of the room where once her best friend stayed in and now it's just like their relationship empty and sad. The memories hit her like a lighting bolt, hard in the chest but it's one ache she doesn't mind because she knows once she walks away front this school today, she'd be a grown up. Which is why she wants to take in every last moment here just to live her best times once again through the memories, because now those are the only things she's left with.

Nothing had changed. The fairy lights around the room. The scented candles around every corner, lavender rose as her favourite and jasmine blues as Shruti's.
The collage of pictures covering almost the whole wall behind her bed has the whole group smiling and genuinely looking with love at each other, all of them now seem like completely different people now. She couldn't help but smile, she takes out the photo of her and her best friend and just looks at it as if she's relieveing that moment,no it wasn't Shruti. It was her and her first friend, first best friend, first love, first heartbreak and honestly her first everything, Rohan.
she didn't realise she was crying until a teardrop falls in between where both of them were standing in the picture. His arms are around her pulling her in a warm cozy hug while she smiles in his arms looking up at him and puckering her lips asking for a kiss. Shanaya chuckles at the memory once more before keeping the picture in her bag and moves towards the drawer.
