"Don't worry it's only about 5 minutes."

When we entered what was supposed to be Sunday school all eyes were on me. How I'm I going to fit in with these goody too shoes. All of them had a bible in their hand and dressed so covered up.
"Good morning guys. As you've already noticed we have a new member joining us today. This is Skylar". Everyone turned their focus on me, a few smiled but most of them looked at me as if they were scared. I knew they were judging me from my piercings and the tattoo on my neck and arms. But I don't give a fuck that's how I liked it. Be very scared people I've got many demon friends. I can't believe I just thought that, suppose demons can read minds and they haunt me forever thinking that we're besties. The lesson started and a girl named Kelsey went up and started reading the bible. She smiled widely and said,"Please turn your bibles to James 4 verses 7." Oh shit! Where's James? I looked around me and everyone found the page except me. "Let me help", the girl sitting beside me said. She looked just like Kelsey but the only difference was that her hair is jet black and Kelsey's hair is red. She had that same wide smile on her face. I'm guessing they're twin sisters.
She found the page very quickly and handed it back to me. "Thanks".
Wow! I just told someone thanks. Who am I? I can't afford to make new friends especially these nice ones.
"My name is Chelsey",the girl who helped me said.
I didn't ask because I didn't care. I nodded and turned my focus back on Kelsey.
"And it reads", Kelsey continued,"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee you." I didn't read aloud like everybody else but instead just looked at the words. What the fuck does this mean?
"These are the words of God". She quickly stepped of the podium and sat right beside Chelsey.
Kris went on the podium and started talking."What most people want in this world is freedom. Most people put a different twist on what they want to be free from. Submission to God can be difficult due to temptations in this world. Satan and his servants has build up different systems that tempt people to do wrong.........."
I'm so bored right now. I started to look around at the different people sitting in the room. Too cute, annoying, too excited, too talkative, too quiet I said to myself as I looked at people.
After 1 hour based on my perspective, I started kicking the chair in front of me and the girl turned around with an annoyed look on her face. "Can you please stop?". I nodded my head and as soon as she turned around I kicked it one last time to feel satisfied.

I turned my focus back on Kris. As he preached you could see enthusiasm in his eyes and he moved his hand as he explained. I scanned the room and noticed that all eyes were locked on him. Everyone was so focused expect for me. I felt like I didn't belong.
"So I say to you, resist the devil's temptations and you'll be free."
At least I heard some of what he said.
He asked us to join hands with our neighbors in prayer. After we prayed everyone got up and left the room. I was so happy it's over!!!
"Umm..Skylar we're now going to join the adults in their worship."
What? Seriously. I'm gonna die here.
He noticed how upset I was and chuckled."Don't worry it's only about 5 minutes."
I sighed in relief and followed closely behind him.
When we entered the church I heard Dave's voice. I walked inside and scanned the room. Great! All the back seats are taken. Kris looked at me and said,"You can sit with me if you want to." I didn't want to but nodded in defeat since I didn't want to sit with any random people.
Thankfully Kris didn't sit at the extreme front and there were other teens in that row.
I noticed that while Dave was preaching he his eyes were scanning the room as if looking for someone, when his eyes met mine he smiled and looked back at his bible on the pulpit.
