I was sleeping in my bed every thing was quite and peaceful the night was cool and calm and you could here the crickets in the background. 3:00 am the peace and quiet had ended the fire alarm was screaming to be heard. I woke up to be surrounded by thick smoke as I look at my door I see red embers creeping under my door. I start coughing as I jump off my bed and stay low I hear my mom screaming outside. I opened my window as my mom was screaming "Sarah Coleman! Get out of the house!" "Mom! I'm up here in my room!" "Get out!" "Mom I'm stuck the fire is right outside my door!" "Honey you gotta jump!" It looks like it's my only option and I know it's gonna hurt but it's this or die right? As I push the hair out of my face and unstick it from my sweaty neck from the heat in the house I jumped out the window onto the roof. But as I got closer to the edge I started to panic "mom I can't do it!" I felt the tears streaming down my face as I sat on the roof in a ball. As I look behind me my hole room is on fire and the fire is creeping closer. As I look in the distance I see fire trucks, ambulances and police cars as they pulled up I stood up to wave my hands but the house being weak the roof collapsed under my feet and I went tumbling to the ground and the last thing I saw was my moms blue eyes look into mine and she said "it's gonna be ok" and every thing went black.
