Hah. Sorry for the false promises guys. (._. ;) I know I said I'd update Monday and Tuesday, and then never did either, I just got sick, and in all honesty, I'm not feeling much better. My apologies.

Piccolo's P.o.V
From the top of a secluded cliff that no one but you knows of, especially if it overlooks a certain beach that a certain Saiyan spends most of her time, as she finds a certain 'surprise' that a certain Namekian planted in a certain book. Then and only then, will that certain Saiyan vow to kill that Namekian and finds him.
"WHY?!" She throws the book at my feet, her face red as she pulls her long (H/c) from her long pony tail. Wild stranding framing her face.
I take a page from her book: deny deny deny, or play dumb. But never both.
"Why what?" I answer casually leaning against a tree.
"Why would you ever rip those pages from my book?!"
"I don't know what you mean. You're my closest friend, why would I jeopardize that?" You know, I don't think she'll buy that.
"That's what I'd like to know."
Oh, so she didn't buy it. And then she played THAT card.
There isn't any hope left for me.
I sigh. "One, not your book, your mother's book." She glares at me, but I put my hand up to stop her from speaking, which results in more glaring. "Two, I don't think you should read those parts. Not yet anyway."
She glares at me even harder, which I thought was impossible, and points at me accusingly. "One, My mother is dead, and I am the heir to the Saiyan throne, which makes that book mine! Don't get me on your stupid technicalities. I will break them."
How can you break a technicality?
"Two, who are you to tell me what I can and can't read? You're not my father, are you? Either way, if you were, it wouldn't matter 'cause he's DEAD. And even if he weren't, it's not like I would listen, king or not, he was evil and I hated him."
"Okay, so, you're mad." I speak slowly and softly, partially to annoy her. "I am your teacher and your mentor, not to mention your best friend since who knows when, and I have been through everything with you! I know your strengths and weaknesses. I know what will hurt you, and what you can brush off. I know you better than you know yourself. I think that warrants my protecting you, and if it doesn't, well too bad. "
"Piccolo, I don't need you to protect me. I am the strongest Saiyan who has ever lived and everyone knows it!"
"(Y/n), there are some problems in life that aren't physical. Yes, you're strong. We know. But you are weaker in your emotions. You let them control them, and until you figure out how to control them, you do need me to protect you, unless you plan on beating Frieza by begging for mercy. Which, I don't think will work. You saw what happened the last time on Namek!"
She sighs and runs her fingers through her hair, knowing she's lost. "You know I don't like to talk about that time period!" she says, referring to when I so conveniently died. So far, she hasn't thrown it back up in my face.
"Yeah, well you needed a little reminder of how dangerous this is going to be."
"Well YOU need a little reminder of how I c-" she stops mid sentence.
"What?"
"No. Never mind. I'm going to go talk to The Tyrant. Seems you both like keeping things from me."
That girl could take out the Ginyu Force ten times over with just her words.
"STUBBORN SAIYAN!" I yell.
"DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED, CONDESENDING NAMEKIAN!" She yells over her shoulder with a wicked grin.
"Ugh," I mutter, sitting against the tree. "That girl is impossible. Stubborn, a Saiyan, a Princess, a woman, and has a serious mean streak. Women. How do Goku and Vegeta put up with them on a daily basis?! How do I do it?!"
"I CAN HEAR YOU, PICCOLO!!", (Y/n)'s voice echoes from afar.
I curse under my breath, rubbing my temples. I swear, she'll be the end of me.
