"Mom, I seriously can't take it here anymore. I'm leaving and taking Cornelious with me."

"Ha! You can't leave, Cleola. You have absolutely nothing and I'm not going to give you anything."

"Watch me leave you." Cleola stormed out of the house with her small bag of clothes. She just couldn't stand her mother always on her like that; always on her back about everything. She was eighteen now and didn't have to stay there with her. She yelled for her feline animal guide, "Cornelious, let's go now!"

"Don't come back here until you are ready to apologise, Cleola."

"That's alright. I won't." Cleola was a little happy at the thought of never coming back to that place. "Cornelious!" "Coming!" he responded. Cornelious was a small, black cat with wings that spanned out to six inches. He came to Cleola one night while she was crying in the garden. He had heard her cries and was summoned to help her. They have been together ever since.

"Where shall we go, Cleola?"

"I am not sure, but out of here." Cleola and Cornelious lived in a small village in the land of Crystel. Her mother was a spinsters and made barely enough money to support Cleola, her sixteen year-old brother Loki, and herself.

"What is our purpose in life?" Cornelious turned to Cleola with a confused look. "Well my purpose is to help you along your life. When you die, I will die and we will both be reborn into our next lives. I am a part of you and will never leave you." Cleola looked at Cornelious and gave him a smile, "You are my best friend, Cornelious."

"Maybe we should go on a quest," suggested Cornelious. "That's a great idea. What would we be in search for?" "Your purpose." Cleola lit up when he suggested that. "Let's go, right now."

Cleola was so ready to get on her way with this quest. She wanted to know where she belonged in the world. She wanted to see the world and know for sure that she wasn't going to end up like her mother.

Cleola and Cornelious started their quest by heading out of the village and on the path to find her purpose.
