WARNING: EMILIO'S IDEA DON'T BLAME ME.
Kayla walked around town, knowing that she was supposed to be at school. But she didn't want to go for no real reason. She passed by this place called, "White Orchid" (Emilio made the name).
"An orphanage?" Kayla thought to herself, "I didn't know we had one of those around here."
She noticed two guys standing near the wall suspiciously, she stared at them. They looked at her and ran.
"Hey, wait!" Kayla shouted running after them.
They turned a corner in the alley and were gone, suddenly she heard a crackling noise around the corner, and looked around it. Her eyes widened as she saw smoke and the crackling got louder... THERE WAS A FIRE!
Kayla ran out of the ally and into the orphanage, she trips and runs out of breath. Trying desperately to tell them about the fire.
She gets up and tries to catch her breath. She runs to the mistress (i think) and tells her, "Ma'am! There's a fire! At the back!"
"That is highly unlikely... What low-life would do such a thing to a bunch of innocent orphans?" She rolled her eyes as she spoke, doubting Kayla.
Kayla started to shake, knowing they wouldn't believe her and ran upstairs where the orphans usually slept. She saw some small girls and boys, and one older female most likely around Kayla's age.
Kayla walked up to her and pulled her downstairs. "Play along, kay?" Kayla whispered.
"Oh- A-alright..." The girl stuttered back, confused.
They ran downstairs, and up to the mistress. "Ma'am, I'm Kayla by the way, I was wondering if..." Kayla looks at the girl wondering her name.
"Ria Murid" Whispered the girl quiet enough for Kayla to hear.
"If, Ria and I could maybe. Go play outside?" Kayla asked politely, as Ria nodded smiling.
The mistress looked at Ria, then at Kayla. "Fine with me, be back before dinner Ria." She sighed pushing up her glasses.
Meanwhile, the fire got bigger. The "criminals" laughing nearby. Kayla dragged Ria outside and turned to her.
"I need your help. There's a fire, and we need to get these scum-bags in prison." Kayla said determined to make sure "they" didn't get away.
"F-fire? Bu-but who would do that!? How do you know?!" Ria whimpered.
Kayla started to walk behind the orphanage, stopping when Ria spoke. "I know because... I can smell it."
Ria looked at her shoes and seemed scared, soon Kayla grabbed her arm and dragged her near the fire.
"Can you smell the burning...?" Kayla asked still dragging her.
Ria sniffed the air and her eyes opened wide, she soon pulled herself away from Kayla's grip and looked to where the fire was.
"Yes. Yes I can." She whispered, and suddenly ran towards the fire.
She soon came to a stop when she heard glass break, she looked down and saw a cap... a bottle cap to be exact.
"Kayla, c'mere." She shouted.
Kayla ran to her and took the cap.
"Their a bunch of fucking druggies!" She said under her clenched teeth.
"Which means... The fire may of been an accide-"
"Oh it was no accident! I saw them planning this! I knew something was up!" Kayla sighed and looked disgusted. "They were the worst looking men I've ever seen... Disgusting..."
"Wha? What do you mean?" Ria asked concerned.
Kayla looked up and saw that the fire was getting bigger, "Umm... We'll talk about that later, we could use that cap for evidence for, like fingerprints or something.. lets go stop this fucking fire first!"
"Good idea." Ria nodded getting up and running towards the fire.
Kayla followed behind, and heard a scream from inside of the orphanage.
"Kayla! Go inside the orphanage and make sure everything is okay! I've got this out here!" Ria shouted trying to pull the hose from the holder.
"On it." Kayla shouted back, running back inside of the orphanage.
When she got back she saw that the floor was starting to cave in near the back of the main room, as well as some child had burnt his foot.
"Everyone! Outside! There's a fire at the back, made by some drunk guys or something!" She screamed hoping to get their attention.
"How do we know it wasn't you!" One kid said.
"Yeah! Why should we believe a stranger!" Shouted another kid.
"Who would do that!?!?!?" Shouted another teen from upstairs.
"GO OUTSIDE!" Kayla shouted loudly, so loud that everyone became silent.
They all listened and ran outside, except one. A small boy, around 4 or 5, he stood in the middle of the floor and smiled.
"I'm not leaving." He whispered barely able to be audible.
"Timothy! Listen to the lady and get outside!" Shouted an unknown child.
"No, I've lived here for years. I don't wanna leave! If this place burns down, I- I go with it!" Timothy shouted back, crying.
"If thats the case... then me too." The teen joined Timothy, and sat next to him. "I love this place, just not many of the people, but I like it here. More of a family that I've ever had! If its gone then... so am I."
"Suit yourself." Kayla sighed and closed the door.
She soon noticed that everyone, except the mistress, was looking down the ally terrified. Well some were fascinated, but the rest were scared. Kayla joined them to see that Ria was still struggling with the hose, as well as she seemed to have a burn on her arm. Kayla ran towards her, and tried her best to help her with the hose.
