"Great job River," I was hunting with my red-wolf daughter, I was trying to catch a rabbit for the pups to eat when she came out of nowhere, snatching up the rabbit with one swift movement. Beaming with pride, River suggested we had enough prey to go home, carrying her catch we headed home.

I heard the pups wrestling ten yards from the den, when we arrived I saw that my runt, Rain, had dominated all of her siblings, she practically glowed, knowing she would someday, be the leader of our growing pack. Her beaming eyes had just opened three days ago and already, they were filled with confidence and bravery.

Valley came out of the den and saw me, I jumped over to her before she could go back inside

"Why are the pups outside!!" I demanded

"Because, umm, I was, uuu, getting water? They must have snuck out!", she said. just then Soil, one of my pups ran up and truthfully said,

"That's not true!! you told us to so you could have time with that other wolf!!,"

"Stop lieing you little brat!," growled Valley defensively

Then Rock came strutting out of the den.
