Raghavan was busy preparing for the function. The priests were called, the house was all decorated with mango leaves and haldi specks. Subbu paati (Raghavan's mother) was decorating the house with rice paste, classically called as the maakolam in South was laid in many places of the house. There was a unique aura all around. The havan was set and all priests were ready with the Holy sticks and ghee to make the offerings
