-What is this place, I feel like I'm lying in clouds. my feet feel warm, but under a slight amount of pressure. the girl thought.

She didn't want to open her eyes just yet, she wanted to stay in this blissful wonderland that her mind had made, just awhile longer. She took a deep breath through her nose, she smelt the most beautiful fragrance. Her eyes started to be irritated, like a light was shining on them. She had to force them open to see what the light source was. It was the sun, shining through what seemed to be a window. After focusing in on on the "window" it became apparent there was no glass. It was a circular hole. She looked down to her feet. She saw a big lump of fur that stretched across the bed. Wondering what it was so reached down to feel it. It was incredibly soft, softer than anything she had ever felt before. All of a sudden it moved! It looked like dog, no it was much to big for that. She knew it was a member of the canine family.

-WOOF BARK the dog let out a loud bark, not aggressively more of a alarmed tone.

-She's awake! a voice said. the voice sounded that of an older man, higher pitch than normal but not to high.

The girl looked to the door way of the room. A short man walked through the door. He was very short she figured only up to her chest if she had to guess. His eyes were covered with aviation goggles it looked like, more probable engineering goggles. His hair was messy, and long it was as white as snow as was his long white bearded which went down to his belly. He wore a stained, and patched turquoise coat which went down to his knees. His pants were brown with black sandals, with a small brown cat on his shoulder. He looked very old but had a lot of spring in his step, he also looked very messy.

The girl immediately sat up in the bed. She looked confused and scared.

-Who are you! she shouted

The man chuckled, then in a very calm tone said

-Don't worry my dear, my name is Boyce Alder. I found you among the wreckage cause by the knight in black and his men.

-What? where is my family

-They are dead, I'm sorry for your loss. But you lived, you survived. My dear i think you're special.

-Wh-what... where is everyone else from my village? Tears began to flow down her face.

-They all died, I'm sorry my child. The cat which was on Boyce's shoulder made his way onto the girl's shoulder, and started cuddling with the girl. But dry your eyes! you have a gift my dear.

-How can you say that after my whole village has been destroyed! the girl cried out

-Which is why you must be strong! You have the power to exact your revenge. and stop the evil of the knight in black. Boyce said in a comforting voice.

The girl took a deep breath and smelt the beautiful fragrance again, she looked to her left. Boyce noticed this and said

-Ahh, i see you like the smell of the water lilies, they always smell nice, as the float tranquilly on the water's surface. The were my wife's favourite flower.

The girl dipped her hand into the bowl with the flowers, and picked on out. She brought the flower to her nose and inhaled. She closed her eyes and remembered when she use to play near the pond with her brother. A tear left the her eye, a single tear, which landed on the petal on the water lily. The old man smiled snapped his finger and his cat jumped over to his shoulder.

-What's your dogs name? the girl asked in a quiet voice

-oh, my dear that is no dog. the man said chuckling. That is a wolf, his name is snow. The wolfs fur was white as the highest mountain tops, his eyes were a icy blue colour. What about you, whats your name

-My name is Lilian, Lilian Dawson, but most people call me lily she said faking a smile.

-Well lily, you need your rest so rest up! The man said as he exited the room

Lily slide her legs from under the cover to the side of the bed. she sat up. Snow stood in front her with eager eyes. She stood up but just as she stood up, she felt her knees grow weak and the fell. But just as she was falling snow came to her side. Her fingers went and grabbed his hair. she was happy. the wolf stood by her side as she used him to better support herself. She walked slowly out of the house. She looked around, she heard the songs of birds, the uniform sound of the wind as it blew through the trees and the leaves danced. the sound a smooth easy flowing current as it went down the river. She took a few steps outside then closed her eyes. She adored the feeling of the cool smooth grass underneath her feet. At this moment she was content, she wanted time to stop.
