Play this when Rena starts talking. And yes, it's the off vocal version.
After that match, Shuuya had gotten injured, so that left our match with some Otaku team. And they said that soccer isn't for everyone. Megane had the idea of infiltrate on them, which was a good idea. We went to this maid cafe where they were staying at. And as the only girl there, I wasn't so... pleased when I saw the maids. Megane was an expert at this sort of thing so he handled it. When we saw the team, they were just completely like couch potatoes. Literally. They didn't even train for Pete's sake!Right after the spying, Kuroi offered a walk around the riverbank right after school. Only Endou, me, Kino, Otonashi, and Kazemaru were walking that day; We didn't plan that much on that Otaku team anyway, so we had time for ourselves at least.
"So... you were saying about the confrontation?" Kino asked.
Kuroi and I told the story. To be honest, I was still thinking about it each day. I never knew if I was doing the right thing or not. I had to choose between my soccer or Jirou. And I wanted both.
"Also, Rena," Kuroi looked at me. "Aki said that you were looking at Endou with a shocked expression on, and all you said to her was that he reminded you of someone." He said. Endou then looked at me. I sighed. "Yeah. He reminded me of an old friend of mine. Actually, I still consider him as a friend." I said.
"Is he still with you?" Otonashi asked. "Yeah but... it's been forever since I've seen him, and Endou's been reminding me of him." I gave a light off. "How does me remind you of him?" Endou asked. I sighed again. "Your persistence during the match between Nosei... he was like that..." I looked down.
"He's not dead right?" Kazemaru asked. "No, he's just out of the country. He didn't say where he was though, so I miss him." I said. "We played soccer all the time!" I exclaimed. "We had our own team back then, and he was captain, and I was the ace. Then he said he was moving...." I sighed.
"I'm sure you'll see him again." Kino smiled at me. "Yeah! Who knows, maybe he'll come back!" Otonashi exclaimed.
I smiled at them.
"Hey, you're smiling! You're really smiling!" Kuroi hugged me again.
"Seriously, Genda Kuroi," I broke the hug. "Stop hugging me."
"Sorry, you're just easy to hug unlike Jirou." He said.
"EH?! You're brother is Sakuma Jirou?!" Endou asked in shock.
"Yeah. I'm his twin sister, but uh, don't ask about the eyes." I said.
"Welcome to the team, Rena." Kazemaru held his hand out. I chuckled and shook it. "Thanks.
I chose the right thing.
I chosen the right thing for me to go on.
"So, wanna go to my place? I have Takoyaki!" Kuroi exclaimed.
"Why not? Race ya!" I ran ahead with Endou.
"Hey! Cheating!" Kuroi and Otonashi followed me, and Kazemaru and Kino shook their heads and ran ahead as well.
