CHAPTER 2

Jake's POV

"Thanks. A lot." Angel said with a small smile. I smiled back and walked away. After I was safely in the mist of students, I let it dawn on me, She CUT! Who does that? And why did I help her? The final bell rung and I walked out of the school. Out of the blue someone hits me on the back.

"Look I don't-" I stop myself once I realize that it's Andre.

"Well you don't have to be a girl about a little slap on the back do you?" Andre replies with a smirk on his face. I roll my eyes and punch him in his arm. Then I begin to walk away.

"Woah man what's the problem?"

"Nothing." I shake my head and start to walk away again.

" Yea I'll believe that when you stay in school without flipping out on someone. Man I know you like the back of my hand. What's the matter?" I sigh and turn around.

"Something really small is occupying my mind. Nothing big. Gotta go." I hear Andre sigh and call out 'Later man' before walking away. As I went in my room I wondered..... Was it really that  obvious that something was on my mind?

Angel Pov

I fall back on my bed and scream. This was the worst day. I had the worst life. Was this how my life will be till I graduate? My thoughts were interrupted by my phone blasting Demi Lovato's Give Your Heart a Break.

I smile and answer. Only one person's ring tone is like that. Shawn. He set it himself. Weird boy.

" Hello?"

"Angel! Hey. How are you?"

" Awesome. Other than my school sucking because I have two enemies and no friends, I had an amazing day!" I replied sarcastically.

" Horrible first day?"

"The worst." I heard him laugh in the phone and I smiled. He was an awesome only best friend.

"So" he continued after he stopped laughing."Do you miss me?" I smirked.

"No" I lied. The truth was I MISSED HIM SO MUCH! I knew he was frowning over the phone when I bust out laughing. I heard him sigh afterwards with realization sinking in.

"You are so weird." Shawn replied with a chuckle."But I admit...you got me" I smiled. I was about to respond when I heard his mom call him in the background.
