"Go GO GO!!!!!!" Leah cheered, watching as me and Rey raced towards the hill. The only sound I could hear was the sound of my heart pounding, and the sound of my sneakers hitting the pavement. I looked beside me, and Rey was a few feet ahead, perfect. I slowed down a little, to save my energy for the climb up the hill. Rey sped up, as we approached the bottom of the grassy hill. I stayed a few feet behind him. He started to slow down, just as I had hoped, he'd ran out of energy, this was my chance.
I took a deep breath, and burst ahead with my saved energy, almost reaching the top of the hill, losing Rey in the process. I turned around, for the second half of the race, running down the hill, grinning as I saw the finish line.
"Hey." Rey smirked, as he caught up to me, slowly getting farther away from me, he was gonna win! I couldn't let him beat me, even though he was now almost at the finish. I ran harder, my body cramping up, screaming for me to stop, but I couldn't, I wouldn't let him win this time. I felt lightheaded as I picked up speed, catching up to him. The finish was only a few feet away.. I reached out my arm, crossing the line.
"TIE!!" Yelled Leah, while Hunter, Raina, and Crystal cheered, running up to us. "What? We tied!" I moaned, running up to Leah. "Yeah, surprisingly, you did." "WHAT?! I call a rematch!!" Rey jogged over, his short blonde hair ruffled by the wind.
"I'm gonna head inside, get something to drink." I panted, picking up my school bag, and closing my door behind me.

I lay in bed, wrapped in my warm purple blanket. "Do I really want to change my image? Just for him? I mean, maybe I'll have more friends if I'm not a nerd, besides I won't get bullied or bothered as much. Maybe I should change my image, not just for love, but for myself, so I can have a happier high school... Maybe..." I sighed, rolling over to pet my calico Cat, Milkshake.
"You're lucky to be a cat Milkshake.. You never have to worry about fitting in, or homework.. Or asking people out, and you defiantly don't have to worry about school drama or Dances!" I ran my hand down Milkshake's fluffy back."How about it, Milkshake? Should I maybe let loose a little? Skip my homework tonight? Huh?" I smiled, gently scratching under the cat's chin. "Maybe I'll try it for a day.. See how it goes." I planted a soft kiss on the top of Milkshake's little Kittie head, and laid back, letting my head sink into my pillows.
"Night Milkshake, sleep tight."
