Hating One Another

Detention

I am on my way to detention. When I get there Michael and Mrs. Nick are already there. I take a seat away from Michael.

We just sit here looking at the wall. This is so boring. Suddenly, the door swings open.

"Mrs. Nick, two kids are outside about to fight. Can you please come break them up?" Mr. Rann ask Mrs. Nick.

She glances at us. "I'll be back in a few minutes. Behave yourselves" she tells us.

Then she walks out the door with Mr. Rann. It is so quiet in here I just couldn't take it. I had to say something.

"Nice girlfriend you got there" I said.

"She's all right" he said not making eye contact.

"She threatened me. She thinks I like you" I continue.

"Ew, I wouldn't dare go out with you!" he exclaimed.

"I wouldn't dare go out with you either!" I exclaimed." She said ' if you get between us, I will beat you up'"

"You're just jealous" he said.

"Why would I be jealous! I don't even like you!" I yelled.

Just then the teacher came back. "I see that y'all behaved yourselves, y'all can go to class" she said.

I jumped out of my seat and left out the door. Good thing I don't have English with him. But after, I have Math and the rest of my classes with him.

'This is going to be a long day' I thought.
