You immediately headed to UnderSwap with Ink to investigate BlueBerry's disappearance. You had to find Papyrus and ask him what had happened. You found him in the judgement hall, weeping. You had never seen UnderSwap Paps cry before. He seemed so strong that it never crossed your mind. Then again, he does have UnderTale Sans' personality.
"Papyrus! Are you alright?! What happened?!" Ink exclaimed, sprinting towards him.
"He..he's gone. He took him." Papyrus stared at the floor in disbelief, tears in his eye(sockets).
"Who took him? What happened?" Ink placed his hand on Paps' shoulder.
Papyrus sighed, wiping away the tears.
"Error." He had a look of anger on his face. Ink had a shocked expression on his face.
"Ink?" Hearing his name, Ink turned to you.
"Who's 'Error'?" You asked him, curiosity clawing at your mind."He's extremely dangerous. You shouldn't go near him. Ever!" Ink warned you. You began to piece everything together. The paper that read "AntiVoid". The lack of details. The giant "ERROR" sprawled across it. BlueBerry's disappearance. They were all connected!
"But why would he do any of this?" You asked
"He has his motives. And they aren't exactly happy ones." Ink sighed.
"Well, yeah I can see that." You snapped. Ink huffed.
"Just trust me when I say don't go near him. You have no idea what he's capable of." He had a sincere look in his eyes(ockets). You took it as a final warning and decided to heed it."Alright. I trust you." You told Ink as he grinned.
"Good. If you ever see him, tell me. I can't have him harming anyone else. Especially you." Hearing Ink say that, you blushed a little. You headed back to the Doodle Sphere to see everything in complete chaos! Almost every AU had the word "ERROR" on it! Static was the only thing that you could hear. You covered your ears from the loud noise.
"Ink! What's going on?!" You shouted over the noise.
"I don't know!" He yelled back. "Every paper looks like it has a glitch! Its gotta be Error again!" One by one, the AUs went back to normal. The static became softer and softer. Eventually, it stopped completely. All the glitches were gone and the static had faded. No evidence of the event."Dammit!" You cried out.
"(Y/N)!" Ink doesn't really like hearing you swear.
"Sorry Ink." You apologized.
"It's fine. Let's just wait until another AU glitches."
Some time passed and finally an AU became glitchy. You weren't very pleased with which one, though."HorrorTale?! Why did it have to be HorrorTale?!" You exclaimed.
"It doesn't matter! We have to catch Error this time!" Ink said, grabbing ahold of your hand and leaping into the AU.
HorrorTale had its signature gloomy atmosphere. A damp, foggy Snowdin lay before you and Ink. Sans was sitting in his booth, clawing at his eye socket. He held his axe tight in his other hand. Ink began making his way toward him.
"Heh. What do we have here? Haven't seen you in a bit. Brought me somethin' for a head dog, I see." Horror was staring right at you. His glowing, red eye seemed to pierce your soul. You gulped, trying to keep down the lump in your throat. Fear swirled around your stomach. There was a reason you weren't that fond of HorrorTale. Anything could kill you in an instant. Dying wasn't the problem, you've died many times before. It was the sheer, brutal pain that came with it. Death in HorrorTale was torturous. Burning alive, decapitation, poisoning. All just a few examples of what this world had to offer. You hid behind Ink out of instinct. Horror Sans let out a chuckle. Of course he got satisfaction out of seeing your fear.
"Sorry Horror. Not for you. We got some reports of the glitch. Have you seen anything that might be tied to him?" Ink questioned the murderous skeleton. Horror threw his axe over his shoulder.
"Yeah. Pathways to the AntiVoid. Poppin' up outta nowhere. Paps started glitchin' out too. Dialogue boxes were off, parts of his sprite flyin' off his face. Hehe. Some real eerie shit." Horror finished. Ink glared at him for the swear. Horror simply began tapping his fingers on his axe.
"Alright. Thanks, we're closer to catching him now!" Ink said enthusiastically.
"HehEh. You're cAtchIN' WhA T nOw, InK?"The voice seemed to appear out of nowhere. You frantically looked around to try and find it. A black skeleton with red eyesockets and blue tear like strings protruding from them, trailing down his face. He sat upon what looked like a spider web of blue strings.
"Ink, who is that?"
"(Y/N), get back to the Doodle Sphere! Now!" Ink said, taking his paintbrush.
"No! I want to help you! I never get to actually fight!"
"NOw wHat dO we HavE hEre , Ink? FInally fOund SOmeonE wHo cAn Tolerate yOU ."
Ink gave Error a look of stone.
"Yeah! I'm his friend! What're you gonna do!?" You declared. Error laughed. His voice was glitchy like a scratched CD.
"YoU almOsT mAke me nOt waNT tO kiLl yOU aNd eVeryThInG yOu lOve."
"Umm...thanks?" You were unsure about what to think about Error's remark.
"Error! Where have you taken Swap Sans?!" Ink hollered.
"The BlueBeRry? He'S in tHe
aNtiVOid." Error sounded as if he didn't have a care in the multiverse.
"Release him! Or I'll be forced to make you!" Ink clutched his paintbrush in his fist.
"NAh." Error shrugged. He almost sounded bored with the situation. Ink sighed.
"Suit yourself." He said before leaping into the air and attacking Error with a paint attack. Error began teleporting all over the forest, as if he were glitching.
"Heh. DidjA really tHiNk yOu'd be able tO hit me?" Error teased. He shot blue strings from his hands and nearly pierced Ink's skull. They resembled more of stakes than strings. If Ink hadn't dodged as quickly as he did, he'd certainly be dead. The battle was prolonging, dragging on and on. Throughout the fight, Ink kept you behind behind him the entire time. He sent a paint attack towards Error one more time. Dodging, Error saw that Ink had left you vulnerable. He had a devilish grin on his face. Teleporting again, he appeared behind you, grabbing you by your soul, clutching it tightly to his ribs. Ink's eyes(ockets) widened with realization. Attempting to get away from Error, you struggled and wormed around, trying to free your soul from his grasp. Your soul then tightened as if it was being strangled. You saw blue strings wrapped around it and you dropped to ground. Clawing into the crisp snow, you tried again to escape. Error seemed entertained with your attempts to break free.
"LoOks lIkE I've gOt a nEw puPpeT . WeLp, see ya, InkY." Error smiled before tearing open a portal. The inside of it was completely white, like a blank canvas. "Is that the AntiVoid?" You asked yourself. You were so terrified that tears rolled down your face, your whole body shaking like a Temmie. In your panic, you tried harder and harder to crawl through the snow. Chunks of ice burned your fingertips. Frostbite was gnawing away at your hands. Unable to feel your fingers, you did the only thing you could.
"INK!!!!!!" Your cries would've pierced human ears. Ink ran over to help you, but he was too late. The portal had sealed itself. You were stuck in the AntiVoid with Error. His newest puppet.
