For Reasons Unknown

Part 1

~~I look in the mist struck mirror in front of my face and I slowly wipe away the barrier between me and my dim reflection. Disgusting. I thought out loud and wiped my face on the rough, mildly used towel on my face hoping to rub away any impurities. Next I walk past the bedrooms towards the living rooms my mom and dad are still sound asleep, just as I do almost every morning I make a pot of strong but sweet coffee and bring together my things for school tossing my backpack over my shoulder for the strap to hook my shoulder to keep it from colliding with the floor.

Today was Monday, the bane of all who commute. I pass a man walking his dog but other than that the sidewalk was ghostly, I walked over to the bus stop and took my place on the bench and started to think about what song I would listen to on the way there until my thoughts were broken by the loud air lock brakes of the bus. I handed the bus driver my money with a tip and he looked surprised “Wow thanks Seth, a whole dollar!” he laughed and took the money as I walked to the back of the bus. I set my things down on the seat and took my place. The bus ride was cold and blurred with a mask of frost, but I know the way. Bright lights, bustling cars, busy zombies we call humans. The bus passed a girl sitting against a wall vailed in intricate graffiti, she had beautiful hair that fell perfectly across her face and she had on a set of teal headphones, a black Mice of Men shirt on with maroon sweats that just covered her feet. beautiful

                When the bus came to a stop I was already making my way to the front, my backpack bumping against some of the seats just missing one of the people I never noticed get on, I walked halfheartedly down the steps and the instant my foot hit the walkway I could feel anxiety wash over me, school.

                My unsteadiness subsided slightly when I entered my first class being greeted by my friends.
