Today was like always. Work, work, work. My injuries from 2 months ago finally healed. The memory of Arthur saving me from the tomb ran through my head, ending when he kissed me on the cheek before leaving for the UK.
I haven't heard from him since then. No emails. No calls. No nothing. At least I still have Tony still living with me.
"Hey Jones, what up?" I turned to see my new intern, David Gonzalez, standing at my door frame holding a bag of McDonalds.
"Bored... Until now!" I literally jumped from my seat and ripped the bag out of David's hand. He started to laugh. "Man, you're one of the best people here. Everyone else is just average joes." I let out a laugh between bites of the cheeseburger.
"Yeah, I'm the hero of this place. Although the big boss doesn't realize it yet." I told him. He nodded in agreement before sitting in a chair in the corner of my office. We sat in silence while I ate.
The silence broke when a weird ding came from my computer. Ugh, probably another spam email saying I could win something amazing. I rolled my chair to my computer and my jaw dropped.
"What is it? Did you win anything?" David came over to read the email. "Your friend finally contacted you... I think." I read the email once more to see if I was going crazy.
"Dear Alfred F. Jones,
The British Museum that I am working at has started a expedition to help search for Shi Huangdi's (China's First Emperor) Tomb. You're probably wondering why I'm emailing you this. Well, I want you to come back and help my team find the tomb.
If you accept this invite, please head to the British Museum before next week. Hope to see you again.

Arthur Kirkland"
"Omg omg omg!! I'm going to see Arthur again!" I shouted like a little kid excited about a new toy or dessert. "And you're going to China! How fun!" David added, getting excited with me.
"I guess I better get going! If the boss asks about me, just tell him I'm working on something very very important!" I ran out of my office, then all the way outside.
I ran back home to get packed once again, but for China and stuff for a expedition instead for Egypt and just a "normal" vacation.
"Another vacation? Where you going this time?" I turned to see Tony standing at the doorway. "Going to China!"
"K, cool. Have fun." Then Tony walked out, letting me finish packing for the trip. Once done, I rushed out of the house and into my car to head to the nearest airport.
This is awesome! I can't wait to see Arthur again!
