"It started with a slap and ended with one." She said fuming with anger. But one emotion was dominating her rage, hurt. She was trying to keep herself composed, but I swear I saw a hint of tears prickling in her eyes. She looked... shattered, completely broken. And it crushed me from inside to look at her like this, to look at my first love like this.
I made sure my face was void of any emotion.
I am sorry, but, I have to do this.
"I am not happy with this engagement,but I have to. It is a business marriage and I am being forced into this, Liza. I love you, and only you." I wanted to say. But I didn't. I destroy things, people. I would do the same to her. She is so innocent and has a heart made of pure gold. I, however, am the opposite.
I saw her retreating figure as she slammed the door behind her. This was the most pathetic good bye ever.
She hates me.
She thinks I am not capable of loving.
She thinks I am a monster.
What she does not know is that she tamed the monster.
No matter how hard I try, I just can't get her out of my mind. I will never forget her. She, who, taught me love, is hurt. Because of me.
