When she was 13 years old..."Tonet!" Trixie, my only friend, said while running towards me with outstretch arms for a hug.
I barely pay attention to her and just let her give me the hug routine before pulling away. It's a habit of hers.
The last time I asked her to stop hugging me, she cried. I don't want to experience that again so I just let her do whatever she wants. Even letting her calls me that name. It's not a big deal anyway.
"tonet!!" tawag niya ulit
This club is the sole pride of Queens Academy, where we are currently studying.

Practically, it focuses on giving young ladies the necessary skills and personal strength to develop a life of character, Social Graces, Beauty from the Inside Out, Dining Etiquette, integrity and purpose.Prestigious family sends their daughters to study here for safety, status, title, pride and connections. After all, You can see even princesses and daughters with a high influence family background in the corridor of this school every day. It's perfectly normal.
"You're ignoring me again!"
"I do not. I'm listening, don't shout."
I heard her sigh, but it did not stop her from laughing out loud. If the teacher hears trixies' manner of laughter, she will get a detention again. I calmly flip the page of my book. This girl is always carefree that every day, I wonder why and how did we became friends.
"You won!"
"ah huh..."
"Tonet!!!" she grumbled "It's not the right time for you to be indifferent! Are you not excited? You won girl! our newest school president! I'm so happy."
"Yes. I am happy too." sagot ko ulit at patuloy lang sa pababasa.
"so hateful! I said, Stop reading!" tumawa siya at mabilis na inigaw ang libro ko. "you won! Lets celeb!!!"
"give it back" I extended my right hand "winning the position of the student council president is not really a surprise. No need to celebrate."
"so arrogant!" she joked and laughed again "So where are we going to celebrate?"
I look at her as if I can't believe she's still asking me this question "give it back!"
"i'm holding your book as a hostage, let's go to your house later. I like your chef dishes the most!"
"book!"
"no, so ungrateful! You just won! You need to thank your supporters young lady!
"It's senior, do we need to hide?" mahina niyang tanong. Tumaas ang kilay ko. "don't look at me like that, it's a normal question." bulong niya ulit "You just beat the girl, we need to be sensitive, but who told her to compete with you?"
"She's glaring at you, you know?" tanong ni Trixie.
