Silver grey

The sky shone a dull grey, clouds etched across it like lace doilies.
I could feel the wind cutting at my cheeks, burning my eyes and stinging my throat.
Why was I running?
I didn't know... And to this day... I still don't...
I remember waking up and being afraid of something... So I crawled out of bed... And I ran.
I ran into the woods, and I didn't stop...
Not till I saw it.
It sparkled like silver in the moonlight, as it stretched itself from tree to tree.
It was beautiful...
Yet entirely sinister...
As soon as I reached out a hand to touch the giant sticky web, I could feel millions of eyes on me.
Then... I could hear the hundreds of longs legs crawling across the web... The path towards me as clear as day.
I remember the burning in my neck, the way I writhed in pain as the horrible, hairy black creatures tore at my face.
I remember the blood... As it seeped from cuts and wounds... The thick scarlet running from my eyes.
It burned...
And I loved it.
One tore at my leg, leaving a deep gash.
My boring life was being filled with sudden excitement!
The wonderful pain spread through my body in the form of pleasure.
Here I was, being torn to pieces by huge spiders...
Being wrapped in ropes of silver...
The moon sneering at me...
And I was loving it... Loving it more than I had ever loved any sensation before...
I closed my eyes and embraced it...
My chest heaving...
