"Karina, are you ready yet?" My mom peaks her head in my room. "Ugh, almost mom, do I have to go?" She smiles and nods. When we load up, we return three times because someone forgot something. My mom talks to Claudia and she says that they have left. We get on the freeway and begin the drive.
On the way up I write my paper on Biology. About had way through I get distracted and get lost in thought. Little Avy waves her hand in front of my face and asks me if I'm ok. The drive takes about 3 hours and we arrive mid-afternoon. Claudia, Paul, Jaz(my name for Jasper) and Sloane have just gotten there when we pull up. We unload the SUV and survey where we want the tents. My parents, Mav and Avy will have one tent, Sloane and Carliegh will have another. I walk to the very back of the campsite, where it is mostly trees. I find a square, about 6' by 7'. I put up my tent, and walk back to the cars. I grab my bags and dump them in my tent. Then my sleeping bag and pillow. I check in Carleigh and Sloane and then my parents. Claudia has a migraine so this afternoon will be a quiet one. I put up my hammock and grab my book.
