Another day in school, and another day to see your rival, Manabe Jin'ichirou. Yeah, you're rivals alright. He always contradicts to your answers which made you guys argue every time the teacher discusses, yet again, you two are the genius in class, which your parents are very proud of. You sighed as you remembered the first time you both became rivals.
~FLASHBACK~
"Okay, can anyone please answer this problem?" the teacher asked.
No one dared to stand up not until a young girl raised her hand. The teacher gave her a chalk, and to her classmates surprise, she could answer the equation accurately. After returning the chalk, everyone clapped, but suddenly a young boy shouts, "Teacher, I think her equation is wrong".
Everyone looked at the slightly pink-haired boy, who looked at everyone nervously, but didn't care. He stood up his chair and said, "Her equation is wrong. The solution is completely irrelevant".
The teacher asked curiously asked, "What do you mean?The solution is clear. Her answer is correct."
All his classmates, including the teacher and the girl, threw him confused looks. Fixing his glasses, he went up to the front, grabbed a chalk, and solved.
Everyone was speechless, including her. After that, he dusted some chalk off on his hands and fixed his glasses. "See. My equation is much more efficient than hers". The girl, crossed her arms, was getting annoyed by him.
The teacher, reviewing, said, "I'm sorry, but her equation is much more comprehensible, but still, your solution will still be acknowledge though." He went back to his seat, angrily.
Since that day, everyone was amazed by your solving skills that day, and also, you've just created a new rival at school.
~END OF FLASHBACK~
Untilnow, you two are still rivals who goes to the same school, same time, same classroom. You have to admit, ever since that day, you've grown feelings for him, but you shrug it since it's a distraction, you're rivals, and, you know that he'll never like you back.
While walking, you checked at your digital watch (Minaho: techy....), only to see that it is still 6 am in the morning. You sighed in relief, I'm early as always, I hope I'm the-, "(F/n)!" You turned your back, only to see HIM. You blushed at the sight of him, running towards you, stopped only to catch his breath. "Good....morning....(F/n)....I....thought....I...was late". He said, breathing.
You rolled your eyes and said, "Nerd, (Manabe: really?) it's 6am." Looking at his watch, he looked surprised. And you both continue walking until you arrived at school.
As you opened the door, nobody was inside. Just the janitors cleaning. As always, you and Manabe are the early birds.
Sooner or later, everyone arrived. Then class started.
~TIME SKIP~
It's lunchtime. You sighed as you brought your bento, and with a few books on your hand, since you love reading, you went outside and ate below a cherry blossom tree, while reading a book.
Suddenly, someone called out, "(F/n)!"
As you catch your book, you looked up and saw HIM (I just really need to emphasize that. Sorry). "Oh, hi Manabe-kun." You also noticed that he has a bento with him. "Hm, I suppose that you want to eat here with me, huh? Fine, no need to ask questions. " He smiled and sat beside you. He looked away, blushing while fixing his glasses. You chuckled, he always does that does he? You decided to continue reading while eating lunch. He noticed, and asked, "You can read while eating?" "Yeah, it's a skill." He became fascinated at how you can do that. He decided to continue eating while you continued read-eating (Made-up word folks).
You both finished eating, with 30 minutes to spare. Since there's still time, you decided to make mathematical equations that you only try to solve. Others think it's weird, but you consider it fun. You grabbed some paper that is placed on some pages on the book, and a pen, and started making equations. As Manabe was looking around, he noticed you making something. "What are you doing?" "Making math equations." "You love math, don't you?" "Of course." Suddenly, an idea popped in his head. "Can I borrow that paper and pen?" You lended him those things and he starts writing down something. You decided to peek, but he covered it, "It's a surprise, be patient." You crossed your arms, and pouted. He laughed, and continued writing. A few seconds later, he was finished. "Here." He gave it to you. It was a mathematical equation. It looked like this:

You looked at it, astonished, so you were determined to solve it. It took you minutes to finish though, and then you gave up. You placed it down and exclaimed, "Manabe! This doesn't make any-" You were cut off as you felt something crashed in your lips.
You looked, and saw, HIM. Suddenly, he broke it, gasping for air.
You were speechless, and you were lost for words. Awkward silence filled the atmosphere. Until he pushed you to the tree and said, "Look, (F/n), I like, no.....I LOVE YOU!"
Silence filled the air again.
Your mind was blank and tried to think of what to do.
"So, does this answers your equation?"
"Huh?"
You pulled the collar of his uniform and kissed him. You let him go, and his face was redder than a tomato.
Me: Well, I think that's it for my first story. Cool move Manabe.
Manabe: *Still blushing* I did not do that! You wrote it!
Me: Quit breaking the Fourth Wall!
Minaho: That was not bad Manabe-kun.
Manabe: Not you too!
