"Elly! Sweetheart wake up, its already close to 12! you'll be late for your interview!" my mother shook me by the shoulders. Sitting up I shielded the light from eyes. Today was the day. Panic rose up through my body.
"Close to 12? why didn't you wake me up sooner!" Jumping out of bed I ran to my closet to take out my pre-picked outfit. a white button down and black pencil skirt was the closest thing to 'professional' I had.
After I finished getting dressed I ran into the bathroom, taming my crazy brown hair in the mirror, shortly after I hopped out with a tooth brush in my mouth attempting to get my heel on. I lost my balance and bumped into my wardrobe. A small box had fallen off the top and shattered. I breathed a heavy puff of air " I don't have time for this." and fled my room, leaving the strange box on the floor.

Pulling up to the place I hopped out of my car. "I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" I tried to look decent while running up the steps. Based on the looks I was getting, I could tell I had failed miserably.
I quickly walked into a very glassy building. Not classy, but glassy, as in everything was glass. There was a woman sitting behind the sliver reflecting reception desk. She flipped her blonde hair as she focused hard on what ever it was that appeared on her computer screen.
"Excuse me, I have an appointment here."
She looked up at me, her blue eyes bore into mine. "You're late. Mr.Green has been waiting for you."She picked up the phone "Mr.Green? your one o'clock is here."Hanging it up she directed me to the elevator. "10th floor last door on the right. He's not pleased with your tardiness. I'd hurry if I were you."
Uttering a sarcastic 'thanks' I went over to the elevator. Butterflies danced in my stomach. I could only hope that this didn't ruin my chances of working here.
The elevator halted and the doors opened. I followed the woman's directions and came across a gold plate that read Mr.Green, CEO mounted on the wall near the door. I lifted my hand to knock and jumped at the sound of a very angry "come in."
Nervously I walked in to see a man sitting in a big brown chair, angrily turning the pages, of many different books on the matching desk.
"Close the door. "
I shut it as he commanded. He motioned his right hand out "sit."
Walking over the the seat I suddenly tripped. blood rushed to my face as I blushed furiously. I heard a heavy sigh coming from Mr.Green. walking over to me, he helped me up and lead me to the chair.
"Are you always this clumsy?" he sat back down and went over his paper work some more.
He was pretty attractive, and young looking. Blond slicked back hair, light brown eyes, strong jawline, it was like staring at a god.
"Pssshhhh can you believe this idiot, he thinks you really tripped over nothing. I never get any credit any more!" I froze in my seat. It couldn't be. Making sure Mr.Green wasn't looking I quietly turned around to check behind me. there was no one there."Are you going to show me your résumé or not?" Mr.Green said annoyed.
I began turning to sit facing front when my nose came flush to another's
"Whatcha lookin' for?" green eyes met my brown, and for once in my life I had embarrassed myself more than my mother ever could.
I screamed so loud that Mr.Green spit out the coffee he had been presently drinking.
"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Mr.Green said as he wiped the coffee off his lap with a napkin. Behind him stood a man with fiery red hair in a blue striped suit, mimicking Mr.Green.
Louie. My childhood imaginary friend, who I hadn't seen in years, was standing there flamboyantly poking fun at Mr.Green.
"Yeah mate, what the hell is wrong with you!? I am so sorry Mr.Green she thinks that it's appropriate to do her mating call in public." his face was right in front of Mr.Green's. "oooo it seems like this coffee affects the penis in other ways too!" Louie looked up at me with a goofy smile, wiggling his eyebrows at me.
My eyes widened. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"I am so sorry Mr.Green, I thought I saw something behind you."
"Oh just go, you were late and now you made me spill coffee all over myself. get out of here before I call security." he was angered.
"Well that's some right bull crap init? he didn't even give you chance! He's worst then your mum!" Louie held is arms up in surprise.
I ignored him. "I'm terribly sorry Mr.Green, please reconsider our meeting."
"Why so you can be late and scare me into spilling coffee everywhere? no thanks I'm good."
"What a rude bloke! you know you don't deserve this." Louie came up close to my ear. suddenly he walked over to the desk and grabbed a stapler.
"Right then this is what I think of you!" he shot staples out at Mr.Green's face. Mr.Green hadn't noticed.
"Stop it!" I was talking to Louie.
"Me stop? you're the cause of this mess!" Mr.Green threw up is hands.
"Alright alright geez, I'm just tryin to back you up." Louie set the stapler down. pulling out black sunglasses he slid them onto his face "we out dis bitch. let's go Ell."
"Again I am so sorry." I quickly followed Louie out the door.
