Sometimes life feels like a movie, like the events are rolling right by your eyes but your not really a part of them. Thats what it was like staring at him through the cracks in the fenceline, he was walking along the edge of the pool, ready to jump in again, completely unaware of her presense. How she wished her life could be that normal, that she could spend a day enjoying the sun without worrying about who might be lerking around in the bushes.

But that wasnt possible. She slipped along the side of the fence, into the corner of his yard that was blocked off by bushes and took out her steel, finding a bare part of her arm, she began to draw. Now with a rune of strength, she jumped the fence into his backyard. She never understood how mundanes survived without a stele, she knew she never could. Just as she landed, she realised she completely forgot about a glamour. He was staring strait at her, and in the mundane world, someone jumping into your backyard was not something that happened on a daily basis.

He looked more shocked than anything else and just as he was about to say something. A voice called from within the house. The words were inaudible, but the tone in them was clear, whatever it was, it was not human. The boy called back instantly, clearly having heard the words that were spoken 'dont worry, ill be coming in, in just a minute'. His eyes, still on her, werent wide like they she expected, and he no longer looked shocked, but instead he looked rather annoyed. He took a few steps in her direction 'What are you doing here, shadowhunter'. He spat the last word, as if it was something to be discrased of. Thats when she realised shed been mistaken. She took out her whip instinctively and it flew out in his direction, wrapping aroung his ankle and pulling his feet from under him.

He looked up at her, this time his eyes were wide, and their brown colour had turned to black. She was about to pull him forward, when she felt the grasp of a hand on her arm and dropped the whip. Reflexively, she tried to elbow the person behind her, hoping to catch them off guard, but she didnt and her elbow was caught by another hand which turned her around.

'Magnus', the name escaped her lips before she could stop them.
