I yawn and throw off my covers and take a look at my watch that I didn't take off 9:30am. Perfect. I look through my wardrobe and find the outfit I was looking for, jeans,a hoodie, and a pair of vans. I go to my dresser and grab the key necklace my mom gave me on my 10th birthday and told me to keep it with where ever I may go. And that i did I'm 16 now. And I've treasured it. I grab my backpack and my pocket knife and I head out the door making sure to grab my wallet as I go. *10 minutes later*
I'm flag a taxi down and ask them to take me to the charlotte mental hospital. Comedian taxi driver jokingly asked," why did you escape?"
I snapped and said," no I'm going to go see my mother!" All he could say was,"Sorry" and the rest of the 30 min. Ride was silent. *30 Min later* the driver said "we're here" as I was getting out he said," wait!" And so I turned and he calmly told me," good luck and Also I'm very sorry" I gave him a quick nod and he responded back with the same nod. And as he drove away I walked into the hospital.I smiled at the receptionist and she predicted what I was going to ask and told me with a smile," she's on the third floor hun and I'm guessing you know the room number?"
I nodded and thanked her and as I was walking toward the elevator she stopped me and informed,"Your mom is Currently Jen at the moment." "Okay thank you!" I respond with a smile. It must be my lucky day. I push the elevator button and as soon as it opens I slide in and hit the third floor. Waiting until the doors finally opened I stepped out and walked over to room 312. I opened it ,finding my mom "Jen" behind the glass wall and in her white room. I waved with a big smile on my face and she waved with an even bigger on her faces as she happily screamed," Jade! Jade! Jade! I have so many things to tell you!" Yep she was young child today. Luckily I prepared for if she was Jen! As you have probably noticed my mom has multiple personality disorder. Anyway on with the story.
I asked,"and what are the many things?"
She thought for a moment and then started talking in a very childish and excited voice,"Well first off I think a ghost is haunting me, I keep finding letters and pictures in weird places. I couldn't read all of the words in the letters but I think one of them was for you!"
I exclaim," Wow that's crazy! Also can you slide the letter under the door for me please?"
Jen was almost jumping she was so happy,"Okay!" She started skipping toward the letter stack I had not noticed yet and looked through it until she found the one she was looking for and slid it under the door . I grabbed it and threw it in my backpack. I took out a kids book from my backpack then i started reading to Jen. Not long after, the nurse came in and said it was time to go, so I packed up my stuff and said goodbye and left. You have no idea how weird it is to see a full grown adult acting just like a child, but it was my mom and that's all that mattered. I just can't wait to see what was in that letter though.
