Margaret's POV

It was the beginning of my 4th year at Hogwarts and I couldn't be happier to be back. It seemed like the summer holiday lasted years and I was glad to be reunited with my friends.
I was sitting with my best friend, Neville Longbottom, watching the first years get sorted into their houses when he leaned in and whispered in my ear "can we get out of here?" a confused look appeared on my face.
"Why?" I questioned.
"I need to talk to you.Alone." He replied.
"Um..okay." He grabbed my hand and got up, taking me with him. We left the great hall and he led me to an empty classroom. I let go of his hand "Neville, what's going on?" He took a deep breath "Maggie, I'm in love with you." Before I could say anything his lips were on mine. I was shocked but I didn't protest. I wrapped my arms around his neck and eased into the kiss. His lips were incredibly soft and moved in sync with mine. It was like heaven and I never wanted it to end.
"Maggie"
"Maggie we're here. Wake up" I groaned, feeling someone shaking me. I got up crashing my head into the other persons. "Ouch." I said putting a hand up to my head. I looked up to see it was Neville holding his head as well. A blush arose on my cheeks. "Oh my gosh, Neville. I'm so sorry" he chuckled. "It's okay." I smiled. Of course it had to be a dream.
Neville Longbottom had been my closest friend since I found his toad, Trevor on the train during first year. We instantly clicked and I was thrilled when we were both sorted into Gryffindor. He didn't agree with the sorting hat's decision but I know he's right where he belongs.
It wasn't until last year that I saw him as more than a friend. One day when he looked at me I just got butterflies in my stomach and I knew something had changed. But I was glad it did. I started noticing little things like how his eyes light up when he talks about plants he found or how his crooked smile is so perfectly imperfect. It sounds cheesy but I'd fallen completely head over heels for that clumsy, adorable boy. The problem though was that he never did anything to make me think he could possibly like me back so I never told him how I felt. I couldn't risk telling him and him getting weirded out or anything. I'd decided that I'd rather just be friends than nothing at all.

A/N Hey guys! Sorry this first chapter is very short, it's just a little teaser for what's to come!
