We've been different for so long, never finding our people. But instead, we search, being back stabbed by everyone who we meet. Were in Daquantian village, the worst criminal, hatred, backstabbing village their is.
"Nate, what are we gonna do?" I sobbed in his arms. Nate is my mate, so he protects me in every way. That's what mates do.
Anyways, we're planning to leave the Daquantian village and go to the Atlanta village. We hope people there will be better.
"Oh, don't cry, Xila, we'll manage." he cuddled me closer.
"It's been a year, Nate, a year like this! I can't take this! No ones like us!" I yelled again.
"No, their not. But it's gonna be alright. We will be okay, where's your spirit? Thanksgivings soon."
"What's the point? Were monsters! Were killers."
"We're people, you know."
"We're werewolves, you know." I mocked.
"We're people, girly. Were people, no matter what, were humans to. You shouldn't down yourself so much, Xila. Your only hurting yourself. Do want to hurt yourself?" Nate returned.
"No, I guess I don't."
"Then stop this."
I wiped my tears and pushed away from him. I don't want to be near him right now, mate or not. He just upset me.
"Okay, fine." He said, beginning to walk to his house.
I sat in the humid November air for a while more, relaxing. I felt good, for a change. I should probably go to Nate's before he gets worried.
"Xila, I didn't think you'd come." Nate enclosed me in a hug as soon as I walked in. "Your still mad?"
"No," I lied.
"We'll be okay. We're leaving tomorrow."
"We are?!" I leaped in joy and choked Nate in a hug. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
He laughed. "Your welcome, girly."
"Let's go pack!" I screech, dragging him to the room to pack our clothes. I threw random clothes in the suitcase and random objects into another one. Nate stared at me with disbelieve.
"Calm down," he said.
"What, I'm calm!" I snapped.
Nate tackled me down. "Are you?"
"I am now,"
"Okay, let's pack." He leaped up and finished off the packing. "We leave at five so no one will see us, okay?"
"Yes," I say. "But, why can't people see us?" I asked.
"No one ever leaves The "great" Daquantian village. No ones allowed to."
"I see."
"Good."
After that we packed all our belongings and then ate our dinner roast beef and vegetables. And after that, we settled down.
"Nate," I folded his arms around me. "What will happen if we're caught leaving the Daquantian village?"
He kissed the top if my head. "You don't wanna know."
"But I do." I urged him.
"Okay, we'll be killed." He said slowly.
"Killed?! But why?"
"I told you-"
"No one leaves the Daquantian village." I continued.
"Yes."
"But why?" I asked sadly and a bit shaken.
"Because the population is terrible, so people are threatened to stay. It sucks."
"Yeah, Nate, it is. Now you know why I was so teary." I argued, sitting up.
"I don't like my mate being so angry." he said sweetly, sitting behind me, playing with my hair. He planted a kiss on my cheek, sending chills through my body instantly.
"Me either, but our lives are terrible and we're only seventeen." I cried, tears formed on the rims of my eyes."
"Don't worry, I've got you."
Oh Nate, I only wish we could be on the same page... You just don't get it, were in trouble and on the verge of dying and you think you can protect us from silver bullet filled guns! Yes silver bullet, the kill better than regular bullets. And they are the only bullets to kill a werewolves. This is suicide.
"Are you sure this is safe?" I ask.
"No," he stopped playing with my hair and his arms dropped off the front of the shoulders. "But were werewolves. Plus, we gotta car."
"Oh yah," I say, holding his hands.
"Hey, I love you."
"Love you." I say.
I felt him laugh and kiss my cheek again.
"Bedtime." he said as he moved to his bed and turned on his side to face me. "Night, love."
"Good night, Nate." I said, throwing a pillow at him. I got under the covers and lay down. FREEDOM TO COME.
