Harry Styles was at the bakery he worked at, talking to his best friend Liam Payne, waiting for costumers to come in. Its been a slow day so far, and he honestly couldn't wait to go home and sleep, or at least try to sleep.
He was just in the middle of asking Liam what his plans were for after work, when he heard the little bell ding from above the door, signalling that a costumer has just walked in. He looked over at his friend about to tell him it was his turn to work the register, when he noticed Liam staring at the group of three boys who just walked in.
Sighing, Harry moved over to the register, knowing that Liam wasn't going to move any time soon. As he made his way over, he noticed a little boy not much taller than 5'3 standing by the register and looking at all the food they had.
Louis stood there by the counter looking at the food and waiting for someone to help him. He ignored his two friends who seemed to be in a daze and decided he'll get the stuff himself. He heard footsteps approaching and soon there was a tall boy-no a tall MAN, standing in front of him. He had to look up to make eye contact, seeing as the man was at least 5'10.
Harry looked down at the boy, seeing him look up at him in wonder. He looked down at the boys body, giving him a once over, and couldn't hold in the small smile he gave him as he noticed the boy was on his tip-toes. 'Probably trying to see over the counter,' Harry thought.
"How may I help you?" He finally spoke, surprised by how deep and slow he was talking.
Louis giggled as he looked up at the voice, he sounded funny to him. He spoke so slow and had such a deep voice, he loved it.
"Can I have a dozen glazed donuts, and 7 pieces of the sweet bread?" Louis replied in a small voice. He knew what Zayn and Niall wanted already, having talked about it on the way over.
Harry's eyes widened as he took in the sound of the boys voice and giggle. It was so soft and slightly high-pitched, he sounded so cute and innocent. Turning around he gathered the food for the boy and packed it up for him, going back to the register.
"Here you go cutie, that'll be $20," he said as he passed the boy his sweets. He noticed the boys eyes widen and a blush coat his cheeks as he handed Harry the money, taking the food with a soft 'Thank you.'
They were both brought out of their little daze when they heard a giggle followed by a loud laugh from beside them. They turned towards the noise and couldn't help their shocked faces at what they saw. There sat Niall on the counter, legs swinging off the edge, with Liam standing between them and Zayn standing next to Liam, looking at them as they laughed at his joke.
"Looks like they're getting along," Harry said, looking at the trio standing not that far away from them.
Louis giggled, nodding happily and made his way over to his friends, Harry following behind.
"I see you guys have met my friend Liam," Harry said, breaking the trio out of their conversation, causing them to blush and look away from each other as Niall jumped down from the counter.
Liam turned to Harry and smiled as he noticed the short boy walking over to stand next to his own two friends.
"Louis! Hi, this is Liam," Niall said with a blush, pointing over to Liam and smiling at him.
"Hi Liam, nice to meet you," stated Louis, walking over and hugging him. He didn't notice the confused look Liam threw to the others as he slowly tapped the boys back.
"Sorry, that's just how he greets new people," Zayn spoke up, sending Liam an apology and softly prying his friend from the awkward hug.
Harry coughed trying to get Liams attention, wanted to be introduced to his new friends. Liam turned to Harry and smiled, having forgotten his friend was still there with them.
"Guys, this is Harry, my best friend," Liam said, pushing Harry forward.
Louis looked over to the tall man, now known as Harry, and gave him a small smile while he brought his hand out for a hand shake. Harry looked down at the hand and couldn't help but feel a little dissapointed that his friend got a hug, while all he got was a lame hand shake. He took the boys hand with a small shake and a tight smile before letting go and introducing himself to the other boys.
"Are you guys ready to leave?" Louis said with a small voice looking over at his friends, a little anxious to get out of there.
They both nodded and said goodbye to their new friends before walking out.
"I think-," stated Niall and Zayn at the same time, causing them to laugh.
"You go first," Zayn said with a smile.
"I think, I think i found my soul mate guys," Niall stated, looking over at is friends with a nervous glance.
Louis gasped from the back seat and looked over at Niall, asking him who it was.
"Liam." Niall and Zayn stated at the same time.
Niall looked over at Zayn with a questioning look, seeing Zayn giving him a hard look.
"How do you know?" He asked, not believing what he heard.
Zayn looked away, sighing. He didn't know what to tell Niall. Ever since he saw him this morning he has noticed little things slowly turning to color. First it was the grass at school, then in class, his teacher had a rose and he saw it was red. He was confused. He thought it might have been because of Louis, but no. It couldn't be. Louis' his best friend, he loves him, but in a brotherly way. Then he couldn't help but notice how Niall's eyes had changed into a light, beautiful blue color when they were in science together. He had been wanting to ask Niall questions about it all day, so he finally got the courage and asked him after class, on their way to lunch. Niall had claimed that yes, he has noticed little things changing color, but he didn't know why. Zayn didn't tell him that he loved his blue eyes, and Niall didn't tell Zayn that he had pretty hazel eyes. They didn't want to get each others hopes up that they were soul mates, because it didn't make sense. If they were, wouldn't their life have changed when they first laid eyes on each other? Wouldn't everything be in color? Not just little things at a slow pace? But now, both of their worlds changed to color as soon as they set eyes on Liam. It was crazy, but it made sense.
Niall was wondering the same things as Zayn. Wondering why this was all happening, why their world didn't change all at once. Then in hit both of them at the same, making them gasp as they looked at each other with wide eyes. Their world didn't change color all at once, because they were missing a piece. That piece being Liam. Liam was their soul mate.
