Chapter 3

"Nasada. What do we do." Zuto said. "Umm. Bandage. Uh uh pressure on the wound!" She replies quickly and loud. Zuto runs the store quickly, flying very low to the ground. He finds a large long bandage. He flies back to Nasada and the injured girl. She wraps the bandage around the girls eye. She pushed on it very hard. After an hour she removed her hand and the wound wasn't bleeding. She wrapped the bandage around it. "Lets loot." Nasada said. She and Zuto ran to the school supplies aisle grabbing the biggest backpacks they could. They shoved food in the backpacks, as much as they could. Even trying to carry two. They ended up putting backpacks on the cats. Another great use for taming them. They filled the backpacks with food for the survivor crew. Nasada carried the Girl and Zuto herded the cats, since most of them he tamed anyway. "Keep up." She shot away out of the store doors. Zuto followed signaling the cats to follow. As they flew as fast as they could, holding what they were, the cats were keeping up. Those suckers were fast. Jumping over Rocks and some small buildings launching them forward like catapults. Soon enough. They were back at camp. On a mountain. Where they executed all animals on the mountain. About 50 people lived there. After the attack that killed half the 80. 52 remained. The next two being Zuto and the girl. "Who is this Nasada?" The leader of the group asks. "This is Zuto and he's made a groundbreaking discovery. He found out how to tame the cats." Nasada said. "Bull!" The cats come up the hill. The leader draws her sword ready to kill. Zuto emerges with the cats, explaining the new eye color and his ability to ride them. And how the supply runners will get them. The leader scoffed. "Well...it was an accident. Your not smart. It was entirely accidental." The chief said. "Why do you want him gone so much!" Nasada yelled back. "I don't want him gone, people are just dangerous now." She replied to Nasada. "Zuto isn't dangerous. He didnt even know what was going on. He woke up as soon as the beast reached his town. Speaking of. Its close. About half a state away." Nasada said. "Oh no." Zuto didn't think that was very close. But the beast, with its large size and legs, is very fast. And half a state is like is like half a town. "Get your weapons ready! Get the children away NOW!" The chief said to the group and fighters. "Scout crew. Find out where its at, and where its at. Try and get it going another way. Fighters, Prepare the snipers and machine gun stands. Like i said, get the children and mothers away NOW! Nasada, take the girl with the children and mothers, drop her off and come back. Zuto. Get the cats to the supply runners. I wont make you leave, if you follow my orders move. GO! Everyone split to do their assigned jobs and go to their assigned areas. Zuto gathered the cats sending them to their new owners. He followed Nasada to the children and mothers. He spied from around the corner. He saw Nasada lay the girl down and rub one of the boys heads. She said something but he was too far away to hear. She started to walk back and Zuto moved. He turned to see the chief, giving him a sword and a large pistol. "Your going with the supply runners until further notice. You'll be helping trail off the beast." The chief said. "You can't trust me! It's my first day here!" Zuto replied, not liking the idea of trailing off the beast that he saw, emerging from his house of rubble. "Should i not trust you? And kick you out?" The chief says, striking fear in Zuto. "N-no ma'am." He says. "Good, take a cat, and go with the group." The chief says, ending the little chat. Zuto ran to the group "Sorry I'm late. Who's the leader of this squad anyway?" Zuto asked. "We don't have one. We work together. Hi, I'm Joseph." The Young man said, reaching his hand out for Zuto to shake. Zuto shook it. "Um, That's Liam, Violet, Ethan, Ada, Amelia, Jared, and Anne." Joseph finished. "Hey guys. If that beast is as close or far as everyone says we need to get there fast." Zuto said. "Yeah. Lets go." Amelia said. To Zuto, she looked like an emo brat. They extended their wings and flew off. Within an hour of flying. The group took a break. The wings were powered by muscles, and muscles get tired. They retracted their wings, going into a store to grab a snack. A candy or two. They eat off of the checkout aisle candy. CRASH!!! The sudden noise scared the group. They looked outside only to see the beast. Zuto looks at the group. He sees a tear in Josephs eye. He turns around to see Amelia. "I'm sorry," he mumbles. "I love you." He kisses her lips softly and slowly. "Run guys. Go. I'll catch up. Be ready to scream at it...GO!!!" We go out the back and Joseph runs forward out the doors. "Come and get me mother fricker!" Zuto hears him scream. Then a smack. And another. And another. Maybe Joseph will live. They get to a high place. "Ok scream on 3.....3!!!!!" Zuto and the group scream as loud as they can. Joseph 360's the beast and flies towards the group. The beats reaches out and claws his legs open from the back. "AAAAHHHH!!!!" He screams. He pulls through the pain flying and landing near the survivors. "JOSEPH!!" Amelia screams in horror as he lands. "Joseph no..." She begins to cry. The rest of the group flies in the opposite direction the beast is facing. The beast followed skipping the bloody survivor and his love. The group lands and turns back around a large boulder. The beast kept charging, clueless. In the direction the survivors were taking it. They fooled the beast away. The supply runners flew back to Joseph and Amelia. "I'm gonna bleed to death." Joseph says. "No you won't, Its just your legs." Zuto says. "Its not just my legs." Joseph lifted his shirt to expose the large cut in his back. He was bleeding very fast and you could see his spine. "Just kill me so I don't have to suffer." He said. Zuto fell to his knees. Zuto began to cry. "Hurry." BANG!!!
