Hey everyone! I did this for a class assignment so its not as detailed as i would like. but hey, i got a 100% on it, so i guess its okay :) and so the copyright thing, eveything is mine except for of course the cinderella concept :) anyway its called Ella as in Cinderella not the spanish word for 'she' and it is my take on modern day Cinderella :) Enjoy!

Ella heaved a sigh. She was scrubbing the tiles in the backyard pool with a twelve foot long brush. She had already cleaned all the downstairs mirrors, scrubbed the toilets, and vacuumed the entire house. The pool, thankfully, was last on the list.
Pulling the heavy brush from the water, grunting as she did, Ella set the brush on the sidewalk and headed indoors. She walked into the kitchen to find the maid cooking dinner. Ella eyed the clock; it was just past seven. She raced upstairs to finally begin her homework. On her way Ella stopped at her stepsister, Maria’s room. Laughter and arrogance filled the air. Rolling her eyes, Ella continued past her pampered and obviously favored stepsister’s castle sized room and into her own bedroom that resembled more of a walk-in-closet.
Sitting on her cot, which was the only thing in her tiny room besides her dresser, Ella worked tirelessly on her homework until ten when she fell asleep without having eaten dinner.
At six the next morning, Ella woke up to her phone alarm beeping obnoxiously. Groaning, she opened her green eyes to the pitch blackness of the room as she fumbled to turn off the noisy alarm. Grudgingly, Ella rolled out of bed and flew through a shower. She pulled on a pair of ratty jeans and an old worn tee-shirt along with a dusty pair of converse. Her wet, dirty-blonde hair was thrown into a messy bun. She grabbed her homework and she was ready for school.
The first five periods went by as normal. Not paying much attention to any of her teachers, Ella instead observed the behavior of her classmates. The popular girls, of course, listened more to the gossip of the day rather then the lessons. All of the nerds had listened intently to the teacher while furiously scribbling down notes. By fifth period, some of the jocks looked about ready to fall asleep. Others simply made stupid jokes and constantly disrupted the class. Ella’s school was very stereotypical; although, one student was very different.
Arthur West. Captain of the school’s three-time champion boys’ soccer team. Arthur was the school’s biggest heartthrob, passing even the quarterback. Every guy at school was jealous of Arthur’s charm and his natural ability to make the girls swoon as he passed them in the hall. At some point, every girl in the grade had had a crush on Arthur West. Ella was no exception.
Arthur was not only a star on the field, but he was also a star in the classroom. He was an honor student and due to his stellar performance both in and out of the classroom he had several colleges offering him scholarships. He was modest, caring, and the complete opposite of the stereotypical jocks; there wasn’t a girl in the grade who wouldn’t trade whatever guy she was dating for just one date with Arthur.
Out of the corner of her eye Ella could have sworn she saw Arthur staring at her, twice. But of course, there was absolutely no way that was true. Ella was nobody while Arthur was, well, defiantly somebody. Finally the bell rang, ending sixth period which was Ella’s AP calculus class. For her last period she had gym, her favorite part of the day. Ella was very timid, and didn’t talk much, and PE was the only time that she ever really felt herself.
