3 a.m the clock on the microwave read.

Mingyu felt a pain in his lower back as he sat up. Though the lights were dim, he was able to tell apart his surroundings.

He wasn't at home.

The couch he woke up on wasn't his.

The male abruptly stood to which he heard the sound of someone else standing up. He stood still as he heard the other shuffling around the room until they flipped on the switch.

Mingyu looked at the figure. He was a male, maybe a bit older than him but young. The two stared at each other as their eyes adjusted to the bright lights.

"Hi, um please don't be alert.

I'm Seokmin."

The other kept quiet as he continued to stare at him.

"I don't know if you remember what happened a few hours ago. The bar and you being drunk and all.
They were closing and well you were still there and you didn't have a phone on you to call someone, so I let you crash here until you woke up."

Mingyu nodded his head slowly and mumbled a thank you.

"Was I talking to you while I was drunk?" he asked.

"Uh yeah. About someone named Wonwoo? I'm guessing he's your, you know, but don't worry, I'm not. Anyways you were complaining about him and you kept mumbling."

"Don't worry, it's typical. We've been having trouble lately but when do we ever not?" and he sat back down with Seokmin joining him.

"Seokmin, I know it's weird to ask but can I stay here for a couple days? I know I didn't give the best first impression but I can't return home yet."

Seokmin nodded his head.
"What about your stuff, your clothes?"

"I'll just swing by now. He's asleep for sure so I'll just grab my things and maybe leave a note telling him or something. He's an early riser so I'll just start walking now before he wakes."

"Oh no need to walk, I'll take you there. My car is up front."

Mingyu nodded his head again as they stood and headed out towards the car.

At their home, Mingyu packed his belongings quickly and quietly in attempts to not awaken the other. He headed out of the bedroom and stopped to write a note which he left on the table and headed back to Seokmin's car.
His note read :

Wonwoo, no need to look for me, I'm alright. I did come home last night so don't worry about that. I just need some space for now, okay? I'm staying with a friend but I'll be back soon. -KM
