"Um that wasn't the reaction I was expecting..."

"Hello head-boy! I said in a bright tone.

James raised his eyebrows and commented "Somebody sure is in a good mood today".

"Well ya, which girl wouldn't be If the hottest guy around asked you out? I said smilingly.

"Who? Me? Because I'm the hottest guy around that's defo!"

Did he sound kind of defensive? And plus definately ya...he was the hot guy for me at least but for now I am going to pretend otherwise..

"No, not you! I'm talking about Sirius!" I said in a giggling tone... This might have been considered flirting If we weren't talking about the wrong guy here, I thought regrettingly.

"What? YOU are going out with Sirius the BIGGEST playboy around here? Did I hear correctly? DO you not know what he is like? Have you gone insane?" he said shoutingly.

Taken aback I stepped back, not expecting an outburst of this kind. 

"Well ya I am, why do you care anyways? Haven't you seen loads of girls played about with Sirius? Why am I special?" I said.

"Yes you are--er no i JUST didn't want you to get hurt you know...as you are my FRIEND?" he said.

"Funny, friends...weren't we always? All the fighting for 6 yesars was just show right?" I said heatedly.

"Well that's because of you! You never wanted to be mine! I always tried...don't you remember Lily? All the times I asked you out?? You know what Lily, forget it, its useless...it's gonna be useless. Go out with Sirius for all I care....just don't come running back to me crying. he said shoutingly. As soon as he finished he got up and strode towards the boy's dorm looking beyong angry.

Er right. I didn't expect it to turn out like that....well, now what?
