"Aedus," Eliane said, poking Aedus' chest violently. He groaned and slowly rolled from his mattress on to the hard wood floor.
"Quit you're moping" Eliane said, peeling him from the ground. "Mikaia could be here any second, and you'll be laying here, much easier for her to kill than if we are running with the girl." Aedus rolled his eyes, but Eliane ignored him. He would thank her in a bit.
"Who's Makaia?" Cresswell said from the corner of the room, making Eliane jump. He was already dressed and ready to go somehow, even though it was 4:00 that Saturday morning.
"Oh sorry. I guess her highness would prefer I call her 'Prime Minister Avanindra'" Eliane snorted sarcastically. She hated calling that vial witch by a title that is honored by all of Andromeda.
"We'd better get going with the-" Eliane glanced over at the girl they had rescued's half made bed, the cherry red sheets pulled over to one side, revealing nothing but an empty mattress.
"SHES GONE? IT TOOK US THREE YEARS TO FIND HER AND NOW SHE'S GONE? SLIPPED THROUGH OUR FINGERS LIKE WATER?" Aedus shrieked, short tempered as always. He began to run around the hotel room, looking under tables and inside of cabinets for her.
"Calm down," Cresswell said "She's lost her memory, remember? She was probably confused and ran. I would too, if that happened to me." He said cooly.
Eliane's mind darted, her heart skipping a beat. It would take them years to find her, and they were not the only ones in search of her. If Makaia found her, she would kill her on sight. They HAD to find her, soon.
"Cresswell, I'm not sure you understand. We just lost the ONLY chance of ending the civil war on Andromeda. If we don't find the girl before Makaia, the war will go on until every last one of us is gone. Staying calm and saying "oh well" right now is NOT an option. Finding her would mean saving us all." Eliane was frustrated, and it became more so the more she talked.
"Well, the longer we take to start looking, the farther away she'll get." Cresswell said, his temperament cooler than the bottom of the sea.
"So why don't we, I don't know, start looking?" Aedus suggested. He too was infuriated with Cresswell, his eyes burning red hot with hatred. Eliane understood, but the feeling could derive from their jealousy of his quick responses and collected attitude. Neither of them could have that, no matter how hard they tried. Your element controls your temper was an old still used at times today. I guess the sync
"What a great idea." Eliane sighed. They had just spent years trying to find her, the girl who could save their universe, and now they would have to start ALL over again.
