A Day In The Mist

The Beginning

     Some people tell the tale of what happened where it went.  The story my story of my planet the end of a era and the start of a new one.  The story about the Occulance and the planet Redondo.  Mine and many others lost home this is my story of how it all begin.

                          30 years ago.....

   Yes truthfully there once was a time before everything fell apart and lost control.  There was a period when people could still live in peace. 
     It was the planet Redondo I lived there grew up there and stayed with my friends and family.  It's hard to remember that time sometimes even though it's only been a year.  Redondoians are simple but fragile beings like any other creature in the galaxy.  We are a branch of humans who have evolved differently to adapt with are planets low oxygen level.  We look and sound like humans and both make mistakes.  There's a difference though we or us as people think differently we have a sense of greed that luckily humans didn't develop.
           Though we still make mistakes there's a good side to everything.  Anyways though my names Kaito.  I live in a small settlement on the outskirts of my planet. It's fun but nothing ever happens here.  My mom lived here and my dad was a city guy but he moved here so he could help raise us.  We were going to move back to the city when I was 4 and my sister was 2.  Then my mom died though.  I don't remember her very much not really at all. 

     Anyways my dad thought it would be best to stay in the village with my moms side of the family.  My dads a traveler so he sees his family but me and my sister have never seen them.  We live where there's no ships planes or cars so walking is the only option.  Really I've never even seen a blaster, car, or plane.  The only reason I know about all these things is because my dad tells me stories.  I also read many books.  I taught myself to read books and do simple math problems. 
         That's not the only problem I have to deal with though.  I have to help find food and take care of sister.  That's not the hard part though. living alone is kinda hard.  It's Different never having Someone to ask what to do when you need help.  Anyways my sister recently found a radio by our camp.  And it works so I've been able to hear a little of the outside world.

          The last thing I heard though was something that scared me.  There was a recent terrorist attack on the Eastern city of Travois.  And that's where my dad was.  That's not the only thing though they mentioned my dads name for being MIA (missing in action).  At first I was wondering what I was gonna do.  Where was I gonna go then I started thinking about who would do something like this. 

       On my planet there isn't many attacks nor the really Any at all. Then when there is it comes out in a shock people fall into pieces. My planet Redondo is not one Union. No Redondo is very territorial. There's 4 sides to my planet east south north west. Each one like there own planet. I live on the south continent the biggest of the 4 in land size. The north is second in size but superior to all the other colonies in military strength. And the east and west are like large islands both colonies have started an alliance so there just like one bigger colony.

That still doesn't explain who would do it not the colonies but Someone else. And I'm not blaming anyone but the courts have a point. The outlanders it might have been them. They are the only ones who could have done it. Democratic war has been going on with the north. but that's small. The Outlanders have a reason to hate us but do this isn't right if it was them that is. Outlanders are like rebels they don't follow any of the colonies. They broke away from the main alliance of the colonies almost 45 years ago. I don't know to much but I do know the colonies don't like what there doing. They've been trying to stop them for 20 years now. Mostly the east and west are attacking and there winning. So the Outlanders are rebelling. There's been many attacks on them I know because there's a island 14 miles off the coast of the beachfront and I live 5 miles from the beach. It was an old Outlander island that was overwhelmed by eastern troops now it's abandoned. The Outlanders stationed there because south soldiers where I live don't bother to worry with the Outlanders. They usually don't take part in wars either. The east eventually found them and pushed them out. They have many other stations around the planet but they might not be there for long. I don't know what the east has against the Outlanders but if the Outlanders are trying to start a war it isn't gonna turn out well.

Outlanders haven't been the only problem though there has been signs of possible civil war between east and west against the north. Hostility was stopped and the war crisis was resolved. I was only 8 when the civil war sighting broke out it was 8 years ago I don't remember much. And now my dad I was't sure what I was gonna do. Wait for him to die or go look for him. My mind is boggling I did't and don't know what i'm gonna do. I'm not scared I would be on my way right now if I did't have a sister. My sister Amanda is all I have left of family and I wont lose her to. My sister wants to leave for Travois now but there's no way we can get there without money or breaking the law. So for now i'm thinking of just waiting till I have a full proof plan. Whatever crazy idea I come up with is either gonna get me killed or hurt so to have some intellect right now might be a little helpful.
