"Today we have a new student class. He just moved in from a nearby village. His name is Matt Ramers." Ms. Lakress announced. Everyone said hi to the new student and he took his seat. It had only been a full week of school and they were already starting to get new students. This school is the most popular high school in the area though. The new kid Matt sat diagonal from Tiffany, directly across from Ivy. She noticed looking at the back of his head that he didn't have pointy ears like all elves and most fairies do. His wings also didn't seem as delicate as other fairies' wings. Tiffany didn't think much of it since it must be a genetic thing, and it would be rude to ask him.
Lunch time came by and the three fairies sat in their usual spot near the homemade fairy cakes (no actual fairies are harmed), so they could sneak some extras for later. The new kid was looking around for a place to sit, so since Tiffany was very kind and they sat at the same table as some other boys she got his attention and invited him over. "Hey Matt! Over here!" He looked in her direction then walked towards them. He sat by Tiffany except one seat in the middle, so he was closer to the boys. As lunch went on she realized how good he was at socializing and he made friends straight away. She admired that. In fact she admired that so much that she had to be woken up by Emma and Ivy because it was time to leave. "Sorry guys I got lost in my thoughts. Let's go!" She said stuttering.
When the final bell rang that indicated that it was time to go home, the three fairies were walking home and talking about homework and cheerleading which was going to happen very soon. Ivy and Emma's houses were near each other, but were before Tiffany's house was on the next street around the corner. This meant that Tiffany had to walk alone for a bit. When Ivy and Emma both reached their houses, the girls said their goodbyes and Tiffany proceeded to walk to her cozy mushroom house in the village. She walked down the dusty road, and as she was walking she tripped on a rock. Her heavy book bag didn't let her fly high, so she was about to fall when someone caught her. "Careful there Tiff! Can I call you that?" It was Matt. Matt caught Tiffany before she could fall and could have sprained a wing. "Oh uh thanks for catching me and sure you can call me Tiff." She said with a giggle. She realized she was still in his arms and quickly got back up. "Ahem. Well I should get going now." She said awkwardly. "Wait where do you live?" He asked. I live just a few houses down this street." She pointed towards the red and white mushroom house. "Oh cool! I live at the very beginning of the village near the beach." After that they said their goodbyes and walked in their separate directions. Tiffany got home and closed her door. She smiled, he seems really nice!
